Yasin deplores ban on political activities of leaders

Srinagar, November 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik has expressed serious concern over the torturing of several Kashmiri prisoners by the authorities of New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail.

Eighteen people, most of them Kashmiris including Shahid Yousuf, son of prominent freedom leader Syed Salahuddin, were injured after they were assaulted by the staff of Tihar Jail on the night of 21st November. »

Srinagar, November 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has said that the puppet authorities have imposed a blanket ban on peaceful political activities of resistance leaders.

Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar said that arresting him and placing Syed Ali Gilani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest had become a common practice for the so-called rulers and their Indian masters who had no courage to fight the resistance leaders on political turf. »

Mirwaiz asks world bodies to take note of the matter

Srinagar, November 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has appealed to the international human rights organizations to take note of torture of several Kashmiri prisoners in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a tweet message said, physical torture of Kashmiri inmates in Tihar Jail is a clear violation of fundamental, human and legal rights of prisoners who have been subjected to severe beating by the jail authorities. He appealed to the UN Human Rights Council, Amnesty and International Committee of Red Cross to take strong note and intervene in this matter. »

Srinagar, November 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a soldier of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) shot his colleague dead in Bandipora district, late last night.

The soldier identified as Chanderban, a resident of Haryana, was shot dead by his colleague in a camp at Mader in Bandipora after some altercation. »

Srinagar, November 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has said that state-sponsored terrorism is most dangerous and mere rhetoric about self-made definition of terrorism cannot end this menace.

Syed Ali Gilani said this while reacting to the remarks of Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, about fighting terrorism. Modi in his monthly radio programme ‘Mann ki Baat’ had stated that “terrorism must be fought unitedly”. »

Srinagar, November 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has expressed serious concern over the miserable plight of illegally detained Kashmiris lodged in Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail.

The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “The woeful tale of miseries and torture of the Kashmiri prisoners in Tihar Jail is a serious concern for us as authorities in Tihar are unnecessarily harassing and thrashing detainees on one pretext or the other.” »

Srinagar, November 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, one of the 18 victims of police assault on the night of November 21 in Delhi’s Tihar Jail appeared before a court in Sopore area of Baramulla, today.

Ahtesham Ahmed, a resident of Batpora Sopore, was produced before the court in an old case registered against him. In his late 20s, Ahtesham was brought to Srinagar on Monday from where he was driven to Sopore this morning. »

Lawyer produces Shahid’s blood-stained shirt before court

New Delhi, November 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a team of Tamil Nadu Special Police (TSP) beat up at least 18 detainees lodged in high security wards ‘C’ and ‘F’ of Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail on the night of November 21.

The inmates sustained severe injuries and the Delhi High Court on Monday directed the jail authorities to take the victims for special check-up at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, in the next 48 hours. »

Srinagar, November 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has strongly condemned the ill-treatment meted out to the illegally detained Kashmiris lodged in different jails of the territory and India.

The JI spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that thousands of innocent Kashmiris were languishing in jails in and outside the Kashmir Valley only for the reason that they wished such a resolution of the Kashmir dispute which represented the wishes and aspirations of the Kashmiri people. »
