4 Indian troops killed in Pulwama attack

Srinagar, December 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the annual report released by Mirwaiz-led Hurriyat forum on the human rights situation has produced a grim picture of the overall scenario with the graph of killings showing an upward trend during the year 2017.

The report prepared by the human rights division of the forum, which was released in Srinagar, said that the year saw hundreds of deaths of innocent people at the hands of Indian forces in the territory. It stated that the killings, incidents of violence, border firings and curbs and curfew were witnessed throughout the year. It maintained that suspension of internet services, disallowing protests and the use of lethal weapons as a crowd-control measure remained unchanged. »

Srinagar, December 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court has directed the Superintendent of Central Jail Srinagar to get the Muslim League Chairman Dr Qasim Fakhtoo examined by a team of doctors. A division bench of Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar and Justice M K Hanjura directed the Principal/Dean Medical College Srinagar to constitute a team of doctors comprising one Orthopaedic Surgeon from Bone and Joints Hospital, one doctor having specialization in Ophthalmology and one neuro-physician. »

Srinagar, December 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, four Indian troops were killed and several others injured in an attack on Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) training center in Lethpora area of Pulwama district, today.

A group of attackers entered the 185th battalion camp of the Central Reserve Police Force in Lethpora area of the district and opened fire at the camp. They first threw grenades and then opened fire and managed to get inside. Heavy reinforcement was immediately rushed to the spot. Reports said that two Kashmiri youth were also martyred by Indian troops during the siege and search operation in the area. »

IOK people asked to boycott Panchayat elections

Srinagar, December 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has said that the Kashmir dispute is a living reality and the Kashmiris are fighting a war of their future and welfare.

Muhammad Yasin Malik addressing a gathering held at Sara-i-Bala in Srinagar in connection with the annual urs of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA), an 11th century saint, whose anniversary is observed on the 11th day of Rabi Al-Thani, the fourth month of the Islamic Hijri Calendar. He said that the Kashmiris’ struggle for freedom was based on the truth and justice and they had been shown and taught this way of struggle by the spiritual leaders like Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA).

Muhammad Yasin Malik appealed to the people of occupied Kashmir to boycott the upcoming Panchayat elections announced by the puppet authorities. He said that this election drama was only meant to strengthen the Indian occupation on Jammu and Kashmir and negate the Kashmiris’ demand for right to self-determination and freedom and as such the people should boycott it. »

Srinagar, December 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) has strongly denounced the arrest and beating of party leader, Adnan Salfi, and his associates in Tral.

The JKSM spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Adnan Salfi and his associates, Shahzad Ahmed, Aadil Khan and Muddasir Ahmed were coming back after visiting the residence of martyred youth, Noor Muhammad Tantray, and addressing public gatherings in Tral area of Pulwama when the Indian forces’ personnel thrashed them without any reason. »

Srinagar, December 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops have launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Hajin area of Bandipora district.

The troops sealed all entry and exit points of Hajin and launched house-to-house searches, causing huge inconvenience to the people. More details are awaited.

Srinagar, December 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a trial court in Kupwara has directed the puppet authorities to shift an illegally detained Hurriyat leader at Kathua Jail in Jammu to Srinagar Central Jail.

Abdul Samad Inqalabi of Sumbal is presently detained in Kathua Jail in a fake case registered against him.

The Court of Principal Session Judge of Kupwara issued orders when two applications were moved before him. Abdul Samad, through the applications pleaded for his shifting to Soura Institute of Medical Sciences as he is suffering from serious ailments and needs to undergo a surgery. »
