Strike continues in Pakherpora against killing of youth

Srinagar, December 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has appealed to the world human rights organizations to take serious note of the continued house arrest of its Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani.

An APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Syed Ali Gilani had been kept under continued house detention for the last seven years without any legal or constitutional justification and the persistent silence of the rights bodies over the issue had put their credibility at stake. He said that Mehbooba Mufti-led puppet regime had adopted same policies against the octogenarian leader which former puppet Chief Minister Omar Abdullah followed.

The spokesman said that the puppet authorities had turned occupied Kashmir into a big jail and Indian troops and police had intensified cordon and search operations in every nook and corner of the territory, subjecting people to extreme hardships. He demanded immediate and unconditional release of all illegally detained Kashmiris languishing in different jails. »

Srinagar, December 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, forceful demonstrations erupted in Trichal area of Pulwama district after Indian troops launched a cordon and search operation, today.

The troops laid a siege around Naira and Tahab areas of Trichal and started house-to-house searches, causing huge inconvenience to the people. »

Srinagar, December 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Mir (26), a resident of Senzen-Shahoora village of Pulwama, is immobile since he was hit in his chest by a bullet in the firing of Indian troops on protesters on October 14, this year.

Forceful demonstrations had erupted in Litter area of Pulwama on the fateful day after the killing of two youth by the troops during a siege and search operations. One more youth was martyred and several others including Muhammad Ashraf Mir were injured in the firing of the troops on the protesters. »

Srinagar, December 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leaders, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash and Hakeem Abdul Rasheed have strongly condemned the ill-treatment and ruthless thrashing of Kashmiri prisoners in Delhi’s Tihar jail and Kathua Jail of Jammu by the jail authorities.

Muhammad Yousuf Naqash and Hakeem Abdul Rasheed addressing a public gathering at Bakhshipora in Srinagar said that miserable condition and inhuman treatment meted out to the Kashmiri prisoners in different jails was a matter of grave concern. »

Srinagar, December 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed in Pakherpora and its adjoining areas in Badgam district for the second consecutive day, today, against the killing of four youth by Indian troops.

The troops martyred the youth during a violent cordon and search operation in Pakherpora on Thursday. »

Srinagar, December 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) was celebrated with religious zeal and fervor as thousands of devotees thronged mosques, shrines and Khanqahs and also took out Milad processions after Friday prayers.

Various religious and social organisations organised Seerat programmes and Milad processions. Hundreds of people joined Milad processions from Habba Kadal, Barbar Shah, Bemina, Nowgam, Dalgate, Chanapora, Rambagh, Fateh Kadal and other localities of Srinagar. The biggest gathering was held at Dargah Hazratbal that houses the holy relic of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The devotees including women and children thronged the Shrine and had a glimpse of the holy relic which was displayed after every prayer. »

Srinagar, December 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Kashmir Tehreek-e-Khawateen (KTK), a constituent of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) staged a protest in Srinagar demanding immediate shifting to the Kashmir Valley of the Kashmiri prisoners lodged in the jails of Jammu and in India.

The women activists led by the party Chairperson, Zamrooda Habib, assembled at Press Enclave in Srinagar to register the protest against the thrashing of Kashmiri detainees in New Delhi’s infamous Tihar jail by the prison staff.

“Kashmiri prisoners languishing in jails outside the Kashmir Valley are being harassed. They should not only be shifted to the Kashmir Valley but also released,” the protesters said.

Srinagar, December 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly condemned the continued house arrest of its Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani.

An APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the puppet authorities prevented Syed Ali Gilani from offering Juma prayers even on the auspicious occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).

He said, the puppet Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, has so far adopted the same policies against the APHC Chairman which Omar Abdullah had followed and he continues to remain under house detention without any legal or constitutional justification. He pointed out that Mehbooba Mufti was very vocal about this when she was in the opposition. “She would often criticize Omar Abdullah for caging Syed Ali Gilani, however now she is following the footsteps of her predecessors,” he added. »

Srinagar, December 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people attended the funeral prayers of a martyred youth, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, in Thokerpora area of Pulwama.

Shabbir Ahmed Dar along with three other youth was killed by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Futlipora area of Budgam on Thursday. Local people said that Shabbir’s face was badly damaged.

The participants of the funeral waved Pakistani flags and chanted pro-Pakistan, pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. Shutdown was observed in Pulwama to mourn the killing of the youth. Complete strike was also observed in Pakherpora, Dalwan, Charar-e-Sharief and other adjoining areas in Budgam to mourn the killing of the youth. »
