Shifting of detainees to occupied Kashmir demanded

Srinagar, December 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the family members and relatives of the Kashmiri detainees lodged in New Delhi’s infamous Tihar jail held a demonstration in Srinagar, today, against the ruthless thrashing of several prisoners in the jail.

Eighteen detainees, many of them Kashmiris, were injured after they were beaten up without any reason by the staff of Tihar jail on the night of 21st November. The victims included Shahid Yousuf, the son of prominent freedom leader, Syed Salahuddin.

Several family members and relatives of the victims of the Tihar jail assault assembled at Press Enclave in Srinagar, today, demanding shifting of their detained kin from Tihar prison to Srinagar Central Jail. Hurriyat leaders Muhammad Yasin Malik and Shabbir Ahmed Dar, who also joined the protesters, demanded immediate release of all Kashmiri political detainees languishing in different jails of India and the occupied territory. »

Srinagar, December 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an impressive congregational prayer gathering was held today at Sideeqabad in Batamaloo for late Sheikh Abdul Kabeer in which thousands of people participated and paid homage to late Sheikh Abdul Kabeer.

Besides JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, various important personalities, representatives of different social, political, trade bodies and religious organizations including Javed Ahmad Mir Shabbir Ahmad Dar Tariq Ahmad Dar, Farooq Ahmad Wani Bashir Ahmad Tota and M Iqbal Mir participated in the gathering. »

Srinagar, December 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior Hurriyat leader and President of Anjuman Sharie Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, led a Milad procession in Magam area of Budgam district, today.

The procession was taken out from Mir Complex Magam and culminated at Imambargah Yagipora.

Thousands of devotees including the students from Bab-ul-Aalam participated in the procession. »

Srinagar, December 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Grand Mufti, Mufti Muhammad Bashir-ud-din Farooqi and Deputy Grand Mufti, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam have expressed serious concern over the thrashing and beating of Kashmiri political prisoners lodged In New Delhi’s Tihar jail.

Mufti Bashir-ud-Din and Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam in a joint statement issued in Srinagar strongly condemned the assault on Kashmiri detainees in Tihar jail. They said that such inhuman acts could not be tolerated. »

Demands shifting of Kashmiri prisoners to IOK jails

Srinagar, December 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, expressing serious concern over the assault on Kashmiri detainees in Delhi’s Tihar jail, has demanded immediate shifting of all Kashmiri prisoners lodged in various Indian to the Kashmir Valley jails.

Syed Ali Gilani made this demand while interacting with a delegation of the relatives of the prisoners lodged in Tihar jail. The delegation members briefed him about the latest developments and the recent attack on the inmates in Tihar jail. »

Srinagar, December 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) has said that India’s plan to issue 1-stop identity card to the Kashmiris is yet another conspiracy to breach the privacy and intrude into the personal lives of the people of the territory.

The DeM General Secretary, Nahida Nasreen in a statement issued in Srinagar said the Indian government was planning to issue 1-stop I-card to the people of Kashmir to keep a check on their movement. She said that the plan to issue it only for the people of Kashmir was a matter of grave concern. »

Srinagar, December 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik has termed the slapping of draconian law Public Safety Act (PSA) on a specially-abled person as a glaring example of mental bankruptcy of the puppet rulers.

Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “How can a man who is not able to walk two steps on his feet be implicated in stone pelting cases and sent to jail under PSA.” »

Srinagar, December 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Indian Army officials had to face embarrassing situation when members of a cricket team and spectators raised Pakistani flag and shouted pro-Pakistan and pro-freedom slogans during the concluding ceremony of a tournament organized by the army in Badgam town.

This happened on Saturday in the presence of some senior officials of the Indian police and army and pro-India National Conference leader, Agha Ruhullah, who is also member of the so-called Kashmir Assembly from Badgam. »
