JRL takes up issue of specially-abled person

Srinagar, December 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has expressed serious concern over the assault on Kashmiri detainees in Delhi’s Tihar jail.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the attack a ghastly act, which had put the lives of all Kashmiri political prisoners in danger. The APHC Chairman said that all these prisoners were innocent and detained on false allegations and demanded their immediate shifting to jails in the Kashmir Valley. He appealed to the world organizations including UN Human Rights Commission, Asia Watch and Amnesty International to take serious notice of the indiscriminate use of draconian law, Public Safety Act, against innocent Kashmiris.

The Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement in Srinagar, today, termed the slapping of draconian law Public Safety Act against specially-abled person, Tanveer Ahmed War, as a brazen act of hard-heartedness of the puppet administration. »

Srinagar, December 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth while one Indian soldier was killed in an attack in Qazigund area of Kulgam district, today.

The troops killed the youth during a cordon and search operation (CASO), in Bonigam area of the district. Three protesters were also injured during clashes with troops in the area. The troops blasted a residential house in the operation.

New Delhi, December 04 (KMS): The Narendra Modi-led Indian government is planning to issue a special card for residents of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Indian Home Ministry is planning to annul all other identity cards in Kashmir and introduce “hybrid smart card” to have access to data of each Kashmiri resident. The proposal includes having a unique identification code for the Kashmiri people, which can be used to access their data anytime. »

Srinagar, December 04 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, at minus 3.7 Degree Celsius on Monday, Srinagar witnessed the coldest night of the season so far as Leh recorded the coldest temperature in Jammu and Kashmir at minus 12, the Met said.

“The present cold wave conditions are likely to continue till Wednesday as the weather is expected to remain dry,” a weather official said. »

The leadership in a letter to the International Committee of Red Cross, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and United Nations Human Rights Commission asked the global human rights watchdogs to intervene in the matter. »
