Complete shutdown in Kulgam against killings

Srinagar, December 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people participated in the funeral of a martyred youth, Yawar Bashir, in Hablish area of Kulgam district, today.

Yawar Bashir and two other youth were killed by the Indian troops during a violent operation at Bonigam in Qazigund area of the district, last night. Their bodies were recovered from the debris of a residential house blasted by the troops with Improvised Explosive Devices. »

New Delhi, December 05 (KMS): The family of illegally detained senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, has expressed serious concern over the move of the authorities of Delhi’s Tihar jail of shifting him to high risk ward of the prison.

Shabbir Shah’s wife, Dr Bilquees speaking to a Srinagar-based English daily over phone from New Delhi, said, “I met Shabbir Shah in the jail where his condition is very disturbing.” »

Srinagar, December 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the illegally detained President of Muslim Deeni Mahaz (MDM), Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo has said that the pro-India National Conference (NC) founder, Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah, betrayed the exemplary sacrifices of Kashmiri people for the lust of power.

Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo in a statement issued from Srinagar Central Jail said that the power for which Sheikh Abdullah deceived his own people and pushed entire Sub Continent into perils of war was snatched from him first in 1953 and then completely in 1982. But what is astonishing, he added, is the fact that pro-India politicians haven’t learnt lessons from the failed life of Sheikh Abdullah. »

Srinagar, December 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has condemned the beating and detaining of Rohingya Muslims by extremist Hindus backed by Indian police in Jammu on the allegation of throwing a cow carcass near a police station.

The HCBA at a meeting in Srinagar denounced the harassment of innocent Rohingya Muslims and asked for stern punishment to those involved in beating. The victim Rohingya Muslims strongly denied the allegation and stated that they were innocent. »

Srinagar, December 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders Mukhtar Ahmed Waza and Jahangir Ghani Butt have stressed the need for settlement of the Kashmir dispute through dialogue among Pakistan, India and the true representatives of Kashmiri people.

The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmed Waza addressing public meetings during a visit to Kokernag area of Islamabad district said, “The unresolved Kashmir dispute is a test case for the world consciousness.” He was accompanied by party leaders Nisar Ahmed Rather, Shujat-ul-Islam, Molvi Aarif, Zahoor Ahmed, Yawar Ahmed and Ajaz Ahmed. »

Over 900 Kashmiri prisoners lodged in various jails

Srinagar, December 05 (KMS): The recent incident of thrashing of 18 detainees in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail has made the families of Kashmiri prisoners lodged in the jail worried about their safety.

Assabah Khan, the wife of a resistance leader, Farooq Ahmad Dar, who is lodged in Tihar jail told media in Srinagar, “We are extremely worried after the recent brutal assault on inmates in the jail.” She said that during a meeting with her husband at Tihar jail last week, she handed over a few blankets and warm clothes to him, but she came to know that Kashmiri prisoners were forced to sleep on floor and were denied all facilities including medical care.” Assabah Khan said the condition of all Kashmiri prisoners lodged in Tihar Jail is pathetic. »

The troops during a violent operation blasted a residential house with Improvised Explosive Devices and razed it to the ground at Bonigam in Qazigund area of the district. Bodies of the youth were recovered from the debris of the destroyed house. »

Srinagar, December 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police have issued summon to APHC leader, Zamruda Habib in a false case registered against her at Kothi Bagh Police Station in Srinagar.

The station house officer of Kothi Bagh Police, Srinagar, while issuing the summon asked Zamruda Habib to appear before the police station on December 11, 2017 to record her statement. »
