Islamabad, December 06 (KMS): The senior vice President of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar has expressed serious concern over the plight of Kashmiri prisoners languishing in different jails and interrogation centers in occupied Kashmir and India.

The DFP leader in a statement issued in Islamabad said, the Kashmiri prisoners particularly those who have been lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar jail have been left at the mercy of criminals.

“The infamous Tihar jail has virtually become a death trap for Kashmiri political prisoners where they are being abused, tortured and humiliated day in and day out”, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar said.

He expressed serious concern over the move of the Tihar jail authorities of shifting senior APHC leader and DFP Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, to high risk ward of the prison where his condition is very disturbing.

Meanwhile, Hurriyat leader, Muhammad Yasin Attai in a statement in Srinagar demanded immediate release of all Kashmiri political detainees languishing in Delhi’s Tihar jail and other detention centers. He also condemned the shifting of Shabbir Ahmed Shah in high risk ward of the jail.
