Complete shutdown observed in Hajin; Mirwaiz put under house arrest
Srinagar, December 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership has said that the Kashmiris are being subjected to the worst kind of torture and oppression but the champions of human rights are maintaining a criminal silence for the sake of their economic benefits.

The leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a joint statement issued in Srinagar, today, announced to observe complete shutdown on 10th December, the International Human Rights Day, against gross human rights violations in the territory. A protest rally will be taken out from Lal Chowk towards UN observers’ office in Srinagar on the same day. A seminar to highlight miseries of Kashmiris will be held on Saturday. »

Srinagar, December 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Hajin town of Bandipora district, today, against the harassment of inmates and vandalism of their property by Indian forces.

All shops, business establishments and educational institutions are closed, while traffic is off the roads in the town.

Indian troops had set on fire over 73 stacks of dried hay and cowsheds, which resulted into gutting of many houses in the town, yesterday. »

Srinagar, December 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Kashmiris across the territory will stage peaceful protests tomorrow on Friday against the US decision to declare Jerusalem as Israeli capital.

Call for the protests has been given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. The leadership in a joint statement issued in Srinagar, today, said Jerusalem represents the religious sentiments of over one billion Muslims living across the globe. “US decision to declare this sacred land as the capital of Israel amounts to political bankruptcy of fascist Trump regime,” it added. »

Islamabad, December 07 (KMS): Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL), has strongly denounced the US President Donald Trump’s unilateral proclamation to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Zionist Israel, urging on the UN to take cognizance of America’s violations of the UN resolutions on Palestine.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Islamabad said that it was a mad decision of hate and revenge to move the US embassy to Jerusalem which had potential to ultimately bring disaster to the world peace and civilization. »

Srinagar, December 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have paid rich tributes to Yawar Bashir and two other youth, martyred by Indian troops during a siege and search operation at Qazigund in Kulgam district.

A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) comprising Ameen Dar, Khurshid Ahmad Dar and Irfan Ahmad visited Kulgam and participated in the funeral of a youth, Yawar Bashir, martyred by troops in Qazigund. »

Srinagar, December 07(KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Voice of Victims (VOV), a human rights body, has expressed serious concern over the torture and illegal detention of two nephews of prominent liberation leader, Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar in Srinagar.

A three-member team headed by Abdul Qadeer Dar, Executive Director of Voice of Victims, visited liberation leader Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar’s family in Srinagar. The team found that police and Indian forces had crossed all limits in trampling human rights of the family. »
