Srinagar, December 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police have raided various places in Srinagar to arrest the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik.

Muhammad Yasin Malik has gone into hiding to lead a peaceful march towards the UN observers’ office at Sonwar in Srinagar on Sunday, the World Human Rights Day. Call for the march has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. »

Srinagar, December 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Party held a peaceful demonstration, today, in Islamabad town of south Kashmir in connection with the World Human Rights Day to be observed on Sunday (December 10).

The protest was led by the party leader, Advocate Fayaz Ahmad Sodagar and was attended by party activists and office bearers. Holding placards and banners, the protesters urged the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) to ensure immediate release of ailing party Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, and all other Kashmiri political prisoners. »

Restrictions in Srinagar, leaders put under detention

Srinagar, December 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people staged massive anti-India, anti-Israel and anti-US demonstrations, today, to register protest against the American President, Donald Trump’s decision of announcing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Call for the demonstrations was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.

The puppet authorities imposed curfew-like restrictions in Srinagar and deployed Indian troops and police personnel in strength in the summer capital and other major towns of the territory to stop people from staging the demonstrations. The authorities also sealed the historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar and disallowed people from offering Juma prayers. »

Srinagar, December 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulema (MMU) headed by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned the US decision to declare Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The MMU in a joint statement issued in Srinagar termed Donald Trump’s decision as purely anti-Muslim and anti-Palestine stating that the move amounts to stabbing the heart of every Muslim. »

Srinagar, December 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the wife of Tanveer Ahmad War, a differently-abled person detained under the draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), has said that the Indian police conducted a search of their house the other day, simply to harass them.

Ishrat, who is currently staying with her parents in Srinagar in a media interview said, “Putting my disabled husband in jail is not enough for the police as now they have started to harass our family in one way or the other.” »

Curfew-like restrictions in Srinagar, Jamia Masjid sealed

Srinagar, December 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities have detained dozens of resistance leaders and activists ahead of the protests against the US President Donald Trump’s decision of announcing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Call for the protests after Friday prayers has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.

While ailing APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani continues to remain under house arrest since 2010, the puppet authorities have placed Hurriyat leaders including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi and Umar Aadil Dar under house detention at their residences. »

Flays Trump’s move of declaring Jerusalem as capital of Israel

Srinagar, December 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has strongly denounced the US move to declare Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that despite its tall claims of being a democracy, the US was following a biased and a prejudicial policy against the Muslim countries. The Muslim world, he said, must forge unity and take practical steps against the sinister designs and conspiracies hatched by the US. »

Srinagar, December 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the cadres of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference have distanced themselves from the recent meeting of party’s President, Professor Abdul Ghani Butt with the India-appointed interlocutor, Dineshwar Sharma.

The party members of district Badgam held an emergency meeting chaired by district president Meraaj-ud-Din Soleh at Charar-e-Sharif and expressed dissent over the meeting between Professor Abdul Ghani Butt and Dineshwar Sharma. »
