Srinagar, December 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani has asked the parents not to send their children to Indian Army-run schools in the territory.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar, while expressing apprehension over the reports of mischievous activities carried out by the educational institutions run by the Indian Army, said that teachers at these institutions were making children indifferent towards their religion and specific culture.

The APHC Chairman urged the parents to avoid these institutions. “For petty material gains, we are losing our next generation,” he said, asking the parents to be watchful and careful about their children’s future.

He expressed apprehension over the education imparted by the Indian Army-administered institutions. He asked people not to make Army the custodian of their future generations. “They are killing, maiming and blinding us and how obsolete and obscure it is to trust these and hand over our future into their custody,” he maintained.

“These institutions will definitely influence their way of thinking. Those children pursuing education in these institutions are immature and as such unintentionally deviating from their roots,’ he added.

Syed Ali Gilani said the students are the prime target and their moral degradation is one of the tools to spread waywardness. The forces are the prime source of liquor and drug supply, he added.

“We have best education system in our territory and experts are imparting standard education to students, as such parents are requested to disassociate from these fanatical institutions run by the army,” he maintained.
