Islamabad, December 10 (KMS): Speakers at a seminar criticized the silence of the international community over the human rights violations of the people in occupied Kashmir.

The seminar was organized by the Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (AJK-APHC) in Islamabad in connection with the Human Rights Day, observed across the globe on 10th of December every year.

The speakers on the occasion said that the UN Charter was meant to protect the rights of entire humanity, but the international community was behaving selectively, particularly in the case of occupied Kashmir where Indian forces were involved in the massacre of over 600,000 people over the past 70 years and other brutalities.

They appealed to the international human rights organizations to take strict notice of the Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir and put pressure on New Delhi to resolve the lingering Kashmir dispute according to the will of Kashmiri people.

Those who addressed the event included Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Syed Yousuf Naseem, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Manzoorul Haq Butt, Sagheer Chughtai, Advocate Pervez Ahmad, Abdul Hameed Lone, Col. (retired) Maroof, Ishtiaq Hameed, Rafiq Dar, Abdul Majid Malik, Shamim Shawl, Mir Tahir Masood.

Others who attended the seminar included Hassan-al-Bana, Sheikh Mateen, Imtiaz Ahmad, Nisar Mirza, Khadim Hussain, Abdul Majeed Mir, Sardar Murtaza Ali, Dawood Khan, Aijaz Rehmani and others.
