Islamabad, December 12 (KMS): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, has strongly denounced the brutal murder of a woman, Misra Bano, by the Indian troops in Handwara area of Kupwara district.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Islamabad said that the killing had proved that the Indian army, police and paramilitary personnel were least bothered about life of civilians in their habitual ruthless search operations and crackdowns against the freedom-fighters in Kashmir.

He paid tributes to the martyred woman and expressed condolences with the bereaved family. In this situation, he termed India’s talks offer a mere farce and insult to injury saying that peace ad dialogue require basic policy change in the Indian mindset.

The JKPFL Chairman also expressed concern over the deteriorating health of detained party General Secretary, Muhammad Ramzan Khan, who is suffering from Asthma and other ailments in Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu.

Farooq Rehmani also condemned shameful and brutal treatment meted out to the party chief organizer, Imtiaz Shah, by the SHO of Kothi Bagh Police Station in Srinagar.
