Islamabad, December 12 (KMS): International lobbying group on Kashmir, Youth Forum for Kashmir, hosted a large number of public policy students from the University of Kotli, Azad Jammu and Kashmir along with the Kashmir-beat senior reporters, editors and photographers in Islamabad.

Despite heavy rain, all the participants ensured their participation in the event, held in connection with the World Human Rights Day, to raise their voices against the continued human rights abuses in occupied Kashmir at the hands of the Indian troops.

For the first time, giant tech companies joined in the celebrations. YouTube, Google, Twitter and other tech companies produced special content on the occasion. YFK lobbying group from Pakistan joined the worldwide trend #HumanRightsDay.

Professor Shagufta Ashraf with her fellow colleagues from the Faculty of the University of Kotli, AJK; YFK lobbyists, Shaista Safi, Zaman Bajwa and others shared their thoughts and experiences with the participants.

Kashmir-beat senior reporters vowed to continue their support for the Kashmir cause by highlighting the human rights violations in occupied Kashmir in their respective news organizations. They also shared their experiences and hurdles while covering the vast topic of Kashmir.

The event concluded with the distribution of certificates of participation among the participants.
