Srinagar, December 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League has paid rich tributes to Abdul Khaliq Ganai alias Jamal Afgani on his 24th martyrdom anniversary, today.

Special prayers were offered for the martyr during a function at his native town in Bandipora district.

A prayers session led by party Chief Organizer Imtiaz Ahmad Shah was held in Srinagar. Others who participated in the session included Gulzar Ahmad Khanday, Arshad Aziz and Showkat Ahmad Dar.

On the occasion, Imtiaz Ahmad Shah and other party leaders threw light on the life and sacrifices of Jamal Afghani. The leaders demanded immediate release of JKPFL General Secretary Muhammad Ramzan Khan and other detainees. A message from party Chairman, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani was read out, on the occasion.
