Srinagar, December 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Magam town of Budgam district, today, to mark the anniversary of a youth killed by Indian troops a decade ago during protests.

The youth, Zahoor Ahmad Mir, was killed after the troops opened fire to disperse the protesters demanding a college for the area.

A local resident, Idrees Ahmad said that as the protests were spreading, the troops opened fire and a bullet hit Zahoor Ahmad and he was killed.

All shops and other business establishments are closed while public transport is off the road to mark Zahoor Mir’s 10th martyrdom anniversary.
