Srinagar, December 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have paid glowing tributes to the two youth and a woman, who were killed by the Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Shopian district.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza while addressing public meetings at Khanqah, Middur, Batgund Tral, Qaimoh, Bichroo, Brazul and Yaripora areas of Kulgam and Pulwama said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste. He was accompanied by party members including Engineer Fayaz Ahmad Butt, Shabir Nanwai, Ashraf Khan and Manzoor Ahmad.

Mukhtar Waza also addressed a meeting at Kokernag in Islamabad district where he expressed serious concern over the plight of the Kashmiri political detainees languishing in different jails of India and Kashmir. He strongly condemned the night raids, cordon and search operations in the villages of south and north Kashmir and harassment of the people.

Meanwhile, Hurriyat leaders Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Imtiyaz Ahmed Reshi, Ghulam Nabi War and Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League in their statements in Srinagar also paid tributes to the Shopian martyrs. They strongly condemned the firing of pellets and teargas shell on peaceful protesters, which resulted in the killing of a woman and injuring of many people in the district.
