Resistance leaders detained

Srinagar, December 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed, today, to protest against the killing spree, unleashed by Indian forces in the territory.

Call for the strike was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik, and was supported by the High Court Bar Association of the occupied territory. All shops and business establishments were closed while traffic was off the road.

The puppet authorities had imposed restrictions by placing coils of barbed wire at traffic crossings in Ràinawari, Nowhatta, Khanyar, Maharaj Gunj, Safakadal, Maisuma and Kralkhud areas of Srinagar. Indian troops and police personnel were deployed in strength to prevent people from staging anti-India protests. »

Srinagar, December 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a protest demonstration was held at Aabi Guzar in Srinagar to register protest against the killing spree unleashed by the Indian forces across the territory.

Call for the protest was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. A large number of people including Hurriyat leaders and activists participated in the protest. They marched on the streets and raised high-pitched anti-India slogans. »

Srinagar, December 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have strongly condemned the killing of a woman, Ruby Jan, in the firing of Indian troops in Shopian.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference in a statement issued in Srinagar while denouncing the killing spree unleashed by the Indian forces in the territory said, “India can never kill the sentiment that has always been prevailing among the people.” »

Srinagar, December 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the joint resistance leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that the Kashmir Valley has been converted into a killing field where the lives of men, women and even children are not safe from killers in uniform.

The resistance leaders in a joint statement issued in Srinagar said, “The brutal killings of Misra Bano and Asif Iqbal of Kupwara, Ruby (Beauty) Jan of Shopian and Zahid Ahmad in Rajasthan, clearly show that Indian army, occupational forces and police are out to kill Kashmiris, while pro-India politicians are there to provide legal shield to these killers.” They said that the Kashmiris would never remain silent on their genocide. They also asked people to protest against the stepped up Indian state terrorism in the occupied territory. »

Restrictions in Srinagar; Gilani, Mirwaiz put under detention

Srinagar, December 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the students of Kashmir University (KU), Srinagar, staged demonstrations at the campus against the killing of two youth and a woman by the Indian troops in Shopian.

The youth and the woman were martyred by the troops during a violent cordon and search operation in Shopian, yesterday. »
