Srinagar, December 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, has denounced in strong terms the arrest spree, civilian killings and reign of terror unleashed by the Indian troops across the territory.

Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that such cheap tactics could not suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing liberation movement and freedom sentiment. He said that the liberation struggle would continue till it reached its logical conclusion.

He also welcomed the resolution passed by the UN General Assembly that opposed the US decision to shift its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. He said that the resolution supported by 128 countries and opposed by 9 odd countries was encouraging and showed how international community was committed to the cause of Palestine.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement (DPM) in a statement in Srinagar condemning the illegal detention of party leader, Shakeel Ahmed Butt, demanded his immediate release. It said that Shakeel Ahmed Butt was arrested by the Indian police in June, this year, and since then he had been languishing in jail.
