Srinagar, December 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairperson of Kashmir Tehreek-e-Khawateen (KTK) Zamrooda Habib along with party activists visited Batepora, Sopore, and met the physically challenged, Misra Begum, mother of jailed Asif Hassan Dar.

Asif Hassan Dar was arrested in 2010 for participating in the peaceful protest demonstrations when he was 12 years minor of 7th class student.

After two years of his illegal detention, he was released by producing his birth certificate in the court. But unfortunately he was not allowed to continue his studies because of contraction and raids of police every day and night.

In 2013 he was again arrested in a fake case and is behind the bars from last five years. The condition of his family is pathetic and highly distressed.

Zamrooda Habib also expressed concern over the miserable condition of the family and Misra Begum who is waiting for his innocent jailed son to be released. She also expressed solidarity with the families of Kashmiri political prisoners

She urged the authorities not to arrest innocent youth in false cases to ruin their future rather do the ‘’Good and public-friendly policing’’.

She asked the authorities to release all innocent people and adopt the clean and transparent policy regarding the remission to stone pelters.

She appealed to the international human rights organisations to take serious and concrete steps to stop the illegal detentions and work for the release of all political prisoners and shift them to Kashmir so that their families could meet them easily.
