Ishrat, who is currently staying with her parents in Srinagar in a media interview said, “Putting my disabled husband in jail is not enough for the police as now they have started to harass our family in one way or the other.” »

Srinagar, December 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities have detained dozens of resistance leaders and activists ahead of the protests against the US President Donald Trump’s decision of announcing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Call for the protests after Friday prayers has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.

While ailing APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani continues to remain under house arrest since 2010, the puppet authorities have placed Hurriyat leaders including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi and Umar Aadil Dar under house detention at their residences. »

Flays Trump’s move of declaring Jerusalem as capital of Israel

Srinagar, December 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has strongly denounced the US move to declare Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that despite its tall claims of being a democracy, the US was following a biased and a prejudicial policy against the Muslim countries. The Muslim world, he said, must forge unity and take practical steps against the sinister designs and conspiracies hatched by the US. »

Srinagar, December 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership has said that the Kashmiris are being subjected to the worst kind of torture and oppression but the champions of human rights are maintaining a criminal silence for the sake of their economic benefits.

The leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a joint statement issued in Srinagar, today, announced to observe complete shutdown on 10th December, the International Human Rights Day, against gross human rights violations in the territory. A protest rally will be taken out from Lal Chowk towards UN observers’ office in Srinagar on the same day. A seminar to highlight miseries of Kashmiris will be held on Saturday. »

Srinagar, December 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Hajin town of Bandipora district, today, against the harassment of inmates and vandalism of their property by Indian forces.

All shops, business establishments and educational institutions are closed, while traffic is off the roads in the town.

Indian troops had set on fire over 73 stacks of dried hay and cowsheds, which resulted into gutting of many houses in the town, yesterday. »
