Indian troops martyr 291 Kashmiris during 2017

Srinagar, January 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people participated in the funerals of martyred youth, Fardeen Ahmad Khandey and Manzoor Ahmad Baba in Tral and Drubgam areas of Pulwama district, today.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Khandey and Manzoor were killed during an attack on the training centre of Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force in Lethpora area of Pulwama district, yesterday. Five CRPF personnel were killed and several others were injured in the attack. The mourners were raising pro-freedom and pro-Islam slogans. Hurriyat leaders and activists including a JKLF delegation participated in the funerals of the martyrs. Body of another youth was recovered from the CRPF building, today, bringing the death toll to eight. »

Srinagar, January 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Mohammad Yasin Malik has said that Professor Abdul Ahad Wani was a resourceful personality who through his wisdom and sacrifices achieved a high place in the history of Kashmir.

Srinagar, January 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) official on Monday said that a body of third youth had been recovered at Lethpora in Pulwama district.

With this recovery the toll in the attack on CRPF camp rose to eight; three mujahideen and five CRPF personnel. »

Protests erupt in pulwama against killings

Srinagar, January 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people participated in the funeral of a martyr, Fardeen Ahmad Khandey in Tral area of Pulwama district, today.

Khandey was killed along with an associate Manzoor Ahmad Baba during an attack on the training centre of Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force in Lethpora area of Awantipora, yesterday.

Men and women lined the streets as the body of 16-year-old Khandey was brought to a local ground in Nazneenpora village. They were raising pro-freedom and pro-Islam slogans. »

Troops martyr 14 Kashmiris including 2 women in December

Srinagar, January 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism martyred 291 innocent Kashmiris including six women and 18 young boys during the year 2017.

According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, 22 of those martyred were killed in custody. The killings by the troops rendered 31 women widowed and 73 children orphaned while 211 women were disgraced or molested by the men in uniform during the year. »

Srinagar, January 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference while holding the puppet regime responsible for prevailing human rights situation has said that there is no let-up in killing, human rights violations, harassment of civilians and Hurriyat leadership, restrictions on political activities and movement and curbs on religious obligations.

The APHC in its report released in Srinagar on human rights situation in occupied Kashmir during the year 2017, said, “The year marked most horrible as civilian killings touched its highest level.” It added that atrocities, perpetrated by occupational forces and agencies, ranged from killings, torture, sexual abuses, caging of resistance leadership on fake charges and indiscriminate use of lethal weapons to political repression and suppression of freedom of speech in the territory. Denouncing the local authorities for their callous and heartless approach, the APHC report said, “They have waged war on civilians and turned Jammu and Kashmir into a hell.” »

Islamabad, January 01 (KMS): Speakers at a seminar in Islamabad have said that India has created a war-like situation on the Line of Control to distract the attention of international community from its state terrorism in occupied Kashmir.

The seminar on Prevailing Situation in occupied Kashmir, Role of Media and Our Responsibilities’ was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League in Islamabad. A resolution adopted on the occasion expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people, who are offering tremendous sacrifices for their right to self-determination. The resolution urged the representatives of print and electronic media to play their role in projecting the sufferings of the Kashmiri people at the international level. »
