Rich tributes paid to three martyrs

Srinagar, January 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, life remained crippled due to the spontaneous shutdown for the second day, today, in Pulwama district against the killing of three freedom fighters by the Indian troops.

All shops and business establishments remained closed while traffic was off the road in all main cities and towns of the district. Work in government offices and a bank was badly affected due to the strike. Three youth including Manzoor Ahmed Baba and Fardeen Ahmed Khanday were martyred by the troops during an attack in Lethpora area of the district on Monday. »

Srinagar, January 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops have launched a massive cordon and search operation (CASO) in dozens of areas of Shopian district.

The areas, which have been put under siege include Kachdora, Chakoo, Batapur, Abahatu, Budur, Landoora, Garhind, Muradpur, Bamun, Tongrikol, Mantreibuk and Harmain. »

Opposition disrupts governor’s address

Jammu, January 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the member of so-called Kashmir Assembly and Awami Ittehad Party Chairman, Engineer Abdur Rasheed, today, staged a protest outside the so-called Kashmir Assembly in Jammu to demand right to self-determination for the Kashmiris.

Engineer Rasheed holding a banner with pictures of martyred civilians Misra Begum, Rubi Jan and Asif Iqbal, on the occasion said that the right to self-determination was the only way to settle the Kashmir dispute. Misra Bano, Rubi Jan and Asif Iqbal were recently killed by Indian troops. »

Srinagar, January 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, protests erupted in Hajin area of Bandipora district, today, against the beating up of two teachers by Indian troops inside a tuition centre.

The troops barged into a government-run coaching centre and thrashed two teachers in the area. »

Srinagar, January 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed on the second consecutive day, today, in Tral and Aripal areas of Pulwama district against the killing of three youth by Indian troops.

The troops martyred the youth during an attack on a camp of Indian Central Reserve Police Force at Lethpora in Awantipora area of the district on Monday. »

Delegations visits families of martyrs

Srinagar, January 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have paid glowing tributes to the three freedom-fighters martyred by Indian troops during an attack on Central Reserve Police Force training center at Lethpora in Pulwama district.

The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani while paying homage to the martyred youth said, “The youth are sacrificing their precious lives for a greater cause and we are duty-bound to carry their mission to its logical end.” He said India’s haughty and stubborn approach is the root cause of continuous bloodshed in Jammu and Kashmir and added that the frequent killing of Kashmiri youth was a matter of serious concern. He urged the Kashmiri people to safeguard these sacrifices and boycott the upcoming so-called panchayat elections. »

Srinagar, January 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has said that the BJP regime, backed by the extremist Hindu organization, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), is hell-bent on proclaiming India as Hindu Rashtra (state).

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the tabling of triple talaq bill in the Indian Parliament and allowing Muslim women to go for Hajj pilgrimage without Mehram as unjustified and interference into the religious matters of Muslims and an affront to the Muslim Personal Law. »

New Delhi, January 02 (KMS): India will construct 14,460 bunkers in occupied Kashmir along the Line of Control and Working Boundary during the year 2018.

Indian Minister Jitendra Singh told media in New Delhi that Home Ministry had formally conveyed to the puppet regime in occupied Kashmir about the sanction of Rs 41.573 million for construction of 14,460 bunkers. »

Srinagar, January 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Democratic Freedom Party, Peoples Political Front, Muslim League, Mahaz-e-Azadi and Jamaat-e-Islami have condemned the arrests of Hurriyat leaders and activists saying that Indian authorities have waged a war against the people of the territory.

Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leader, Umar Adil Dar, in a statement in Srinagar said that party’s Tehsil Shopian President, Muhammed Amin Parray, continued to remain in illegal detention for the past over two-and-a-half month. He said that Muhammad Amin was arrested on October 15 and lodged in Central Jail, Srinagar, and had previously spent three years in Udhampur and Kathua jails of Jammu region. »
