Srinagar, January 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has said that India’s Enforcement Directorate (ED) has nothing to prove against its party Chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Shah.

The DFP in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Shabbir Ahmed Shah was not produced before a Delhi court. It said that the judge of Patiala House Court waited for the whole day but the ED did not produce Shabbir Shah before him. For hours the ED kept telling the court that Shabbir Shah will be produced through video conferencing but finally the agency came with an excuse of faulty camera, it added. »

Killing of Hurriyat leader’s son strongly denounced

Srinagar, January 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leader, Muhammad Maqbool Sofi, has said that his son, Arif Ahmed Sofi, was killed to force him to stop supporting the ongoing freedom movement.

Muhammad Maqbool Sofi in a media interview said that he had been closely associated with a Hurriyat organization, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League.

“I have spent over seven years in jail for supporting the ongoing Kashmir freedom movement. My son has been murdered to suppress my sentiments and stop me from supporting the ongoing freedom struggle.” »

Srinagar, January 05 (KMS): Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over are observing the Right to Self-determination Day, today, to remind the world community that the UN resolutions on Kashmir remain unimplemented even after the passage of more than six decades.

On this day in 1949, the United Nations Security Council adopted a resolution, acknowledging the Kashmiris’ right of self-determination.

Srinagar, January 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities have placed the Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM), Aasiya Andrabi, under house arrest in Srinagar.

The DeM spokesperson, Fehmeeda Sofi, in a media interview in Srinagar said that a posse of Indian police personnel reached Aasiya Andrabi’s residence in Soura area of Srinagar at around 7 pm on Thursday and told her that she was under house detention. »
