Kuala Lumpur, January 06 (KMS): An academic activity and exhibition to create awareness about the human rights violations by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir were organized by an independent non-governmental organization for human rights called JUST.

Speakers of the seminar, which was attended by people from various walks of life including the academics, diplomats, members of civil society, highlighted the crimes against humanity committed by the troops particularly blinding of Kashmiri youth on mass scale through use of pellet guns.

They condemned Indian barbarity and genocide of Kashmiris by its illegal forces and also questioned criminal silence of human rights defenders in Western countries, the UN, the US, UK, EU and OIC. The speakers as well as the audience called for imposing economic sanctions on India particularly by the Muslim countries.

The organizers undertook to create awareness on the plight of Kashmiris in occupied Kashmir and demanded early implementation of the UNSC and UNCIP resolutions on Kashmir.
