Complete shutdown in Gaw Kadal area tomorrow

Srinagar, January 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has termed the chargesheet filed by Indian investigating agency NIA against several Kashmiris including Hurriyat leaders as fake and false.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar said, the chargesheet filed by the NIA against Altaf Ahmed Shah, Peer Saifullah, Ayaz Akbar, Raja Merajuddin, Shahid-ul-Islam, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Farooq Ahmed Dar, Kamran Yousuf, Javaid Ahmed Butt and Zahoor Ahmed Watali and witnesses listed in the case are part of India’s plan to subject them to political vengeance. He maintained that there is no constitutional and moral justification to arrest these people and demanded their immediate release. The APHC Chairman also strongly condemned the arrest of Muhammad Yasin Malik and house detention of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai. »

Srinagar, January 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, eight Indian policemen including an officer were injured in a grenade attack in Pulwama town.

An official said that unknown persons lobbed a grenade at Pulwama police station. He said that the grenade exploded with a bang outside the police station, leaving eight policemen including an officer of 18-battalion of Indian Reserve Police injured. »

Srinagar January 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslin Conference (JKMC) in a meeting presided over by its Chairman, Mohammad Sultan Maģray, in Srinagar denounced the rape and murder of an 8-year-old girl in Kathua district of Jammu.

The girl, Asifa Bano, who had gone missing a week ago, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Hiranagar tehsil of Hindu-dominated Kathua district. »

Srinagar, January 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has expressed concern over increasing tension between India and Pakistan on the Line of Control (LoC).

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar said that he was distressed to see bloodshed taking place on the LoC every day. He urged the two nuclear neighbours to give up confrontation and come on the table to resolve the Kashmir dispute once for all. »
