Many Gujjars injured in police action on protesters
Jammu, January 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, delegations of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement and Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Movement separately visited the family members of eight-year-old victim girl, Aasifa, at Heranagar in Kathua.
Aasifa was raped and killed a few days ago. Her body was found in a nearby forest. The delegations were led by Mir Shahid Saleem and Muhammad Sharif Sartaj. The leaders on the occasion condemned the incident and criticized police for its failure to take any action against the culprits.
They said that hate crimes had increased manifold in Jammu region ever since RSS-backed BJP-PDP regime had come into power in Jammu and Kashmir. They also criticized political and social organizations in Jammu for keeping mum over the crime against humanity. They warned the puppet authorities of strong protests if the culprits were not arrested.
Meanwhile, Indian police used brute force on Gujjars who were protesting against the murder of the girl in Kathua. Many people were injured in police action.
The minor girl, found dead in Rassana area Hiranagar on January 17, had been missing since January 10 when she had taken some horses for grazing in the neighborhood.
