Srinagar, January 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete strike was observed on the third consecutive day, today, in Shopian district against the killing of three youth by Indian troops.

The troops had killed the youth, Sameer Ahmed Wani and Firdous Ahmed Lone during a violent cordon and search operation in Chaigund area of Shopian district on Wednesday. Another youth, Shakir Ahmed Mir, was killed when the troops opened fire on demonstrations in the area.

People from adjoining areas continued to visit the residences of the martyred youth and express sympathy and solidarity with their families.

The puppet authorities had deployed Indian troops and police personnel in strength to prevent people from staging demonstrations against the killing of the youth. The authorities also continued to suspend mobile internet services in Shopian and Pulwama on the fourth consecutive day, today.

The Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Khawateen Markaz, Yasmeen Raja, in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the killing of the youth and injuring of two girls in Shopian and termed it a gift of the Indian establishment to the Kashmiris on the Republic Day of India. She deplored that the troops were killed innocent people on daily basis with impunity.
