Shopian, Pulwama shut on 8th day against civilian killings

Srinagar, February 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown continues in Shopian and Pulwama for the 8th consecutive day, today, to mourn the killing of innocent civilians by Indian troops.

Four civilians have died due to the indiscriminate firing of Indian troops on protesters in Chaigund and Ganowpora areas of Shopian since January 24.

All shops, business establishments, government and private offices are closed in the two districts while public and private transport is off the roads.

The puppet authorities have deployed Indian troops and police personnel in strength in the districts to prevent people from staging demonstrations against the killings.

Mobile Internet service in both Pulwama and Shopian districts remains suspended for the ninth consecutive day, today.
