Srinagar, February 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities have placed the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, under house arrest to prevent him from attending a party meeting in Srinagar.

The JKPL in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly condemned the detention of Mukhtar Ahmad Waza. The statement said that the Indian police stopped Waza from proceeding towards Srinagar and put him under house arrest in Islamabad town.

The JKPL said that Mukhtar Waza was already suffering from multiple ailments and was not allowed to venture out of his house. It appealed to the world human rights organizations to take cognizance of the condition of Hurriyat leaders and youth detained in various jails across occupied Kashmir.
