Srinagar, February 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) has said that under a well-planned conspiracy the puppet authorities have kept the party Chairman, Masarrat Aalam Butt, in jail.

The JKML spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the puppet authorities were prolonging the illegal detention of Masarrat Aalam Butt which showed their frustration. »

Srinagar, February 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown will be observed, tomorrow, to mark the fifth martyrdom anniversary of Kashmiri leader, Muhammad Afzal Guru.

Call for the shutdown has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. The JRL has also called for peaceful protests after Friday prayers, tomorrow, to press the demand for the return of the mortal remains of Muhammad Afzal Guru and renowned Kashmiri liberation leader, Muhammad Maqbool Butt, from New Delhi’s Tihar Jail to occupied Kashmir for decent burial. India had hanged Muhammad Afzal Guru in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail on 9th February, 2013 and Muhammad Maqbool Butt in the same jail on 11th February, 1984, for their role in Kashmir freedom movement. Their bodies remain buried in the premises of the jail. »

Islamabad, February 08 (KMS): The speakers in a seminar held in Islamabad Club have expressed serious concern over the human rights violations by Indian troop in occupied Kashmir.

The Chairman of Senate Standing Committee on Defence Production, Lt General (Retd) Abdul Qayyum in his address said, the Draconian laws in occupied Kashmir and the atrocities of the Indian forces require the international community to take action against the human rights violations in the territory. »

Srinagar, February 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the residents of Jablipora in Bijbehara area of Islamabad district have resented the establishment of an Indian Army camp and demanded its immediate removal.

Locals told media that a company of Indian Army’s 1-Rahstiya Rifles occupied the Panchayat ghar at Jablipora on Tuesday night. They said that last month, the battalion had tried to establish the camp at Shamsipora village of Islamabad. However, following massive public outcry, the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad had formally written to the Indian Army not to establish camp in the area, they added. »

Srinagar, February 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the 14-year-old Umar Nazir in a Pulwama village is unable to move around without assistance.

Umar Nazir was in class 8 when pellets fired by the Indian forces’ personnel blinded both his eyes. Although, the Disability Board at the SMHS Hospital in Srinagar has certified that Umar has disability of 100 percent. Yet he has not received any compensation from the puppet authorities. »

Srinagar, February 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Nisar Ahmed Khan, 44, a resident of Pulwama, went to Pakistan in 1992 but later came back under the rehabilitation scheme announced by the then puppet Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah. He now says he committed a blunder in returning from Pakistan.

Nisar Ahmed Khan in a media interview in Srinagar said, “On my return to Kashmir, we were assured that all of us would be rehabilitated and a job would be given to us. Let aside the job, the land allotted to me by the Pulwama Deputy Commissioner was not given to me.” »

IOK HRC says why name of involved army officer missing in FIR

Srinagar, February 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Human Rights Commission has directed local police to come up with logical reason as why they registered a normal FIR in human shield case.

The Commission has issued notices to the IGP of Kashmir, SSP of Budgam and SHO of Beerwah police station.

The Commission issued notices after an application was filed by the Chairman of International Forum for Justice and Human Rights, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo saying that the police have filed a normal FIR in human shield case. »
