Hindu extremists announce to boycott Gujjar Muslims

Srinagar, February 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership has strongly condemned a rally led by BJP leaders in Jammu in support of two special police officers involved in rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl, Aasifa, in Kathua district last month.

Resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a joint statement in Srinagar said the rally is actually a glaring proof of the fascist mindset of the ruling class in India and Jammu and Kashmir. The JRL emphasized that organizing and allowing rallies in support of rapists and killers with full police protection had testified that the so-called rulers were hand in glove with the criminals. The leaders warned that anyone aiming at repeating the1947 saga should remember that Kashmiri Muslims would spill their blood to save their Jammu brethren at every cost. »

Jammu, February 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Hindu Ekta Manch has called for boycott of the Gujjar Muslim community seeking that the purchase of milk products and live stock from them should be stopped.

This comes after the arrest of a special police officer (SPO) in rape and murder of Gujjar girl Asifa. The decision was made at an HEM meeting which was attended among others by the Vice Chairman of OBC Welfare Board, Rashpal Verma, and MLA Hiranagar Kuldeep Verma. The district president of Kathua Congress Committee and ex-MLC Subash Gupta was also part of the Hindu Ekta Manch meeting. »

Srinagar, February 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, India has equipped its paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force with the bulletproof heavy-armoured vehicle, Renault Sherpa, to deal with protesters in the territory.

Renault Sherpa is the same vehicle, which is being used by Israeli forces against Palestinian protesters. »

Srinagar, February 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, pro-India National Conference leader, Dr Farooq Abdullah has said BJP wants to give communal colour to Kathua rape and murder incident.

Farooq Abdullah was interacting with his party workers at his Gupkar based residence.

Expressing anguish over the use of Indian flag by the BJP activists during a rally to defend rapist, Farooq Abdullah said that this rally shows the nature of communalism in the region. »

Srinagar, February 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an Assistant Sub-Inspector of the CRPF was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a stream along the Jammu-Srinagar highway.

The body of ASI Harinder Singh, posted with the 177th battalion of the CRPF, was found in the stream at Kelamore in Ramban district, a police official said. »

Srinagar, February 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat forum has expressed serious concern over the frequent imposition of curfew and restrictions in Srinagar and caging entire population of the area without any justification.

The Hurriyat forum in a statement issued in Srinagar said: “Just after a single incident anywhere in the territory, the authorities waste no time in imposing curbs and confining people in their homes.” »

Srinagar, February 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik has paid rich tributes to slain doctor Farooq Ahmad Ashai, saying that he was a great soul who throughout his life stood for the cause of freedom and justice.

Muhammad Yasin Malik, who is currently undergoing treatment at Soura Medical Complex, in a statement said, “Martyr Dr Ashai always remained steadfast while fighting for the human rights of Kashmiris and as a doctor he always cared for his patients.” »

Srinagar, February 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has condemned the arrest and house detention of its leaders and activists including Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar and Muhammad Ashraf Laya.

Police arrested Umar Aadil Dar and Shah Wali Muhammad and detained them at Nowgam and Sopore police stations. »

Jamaat Spokesman advocate Zahid Ali in a statement said, “A number of innocent youths have been apprehended during the nocturnal raids in different villages of South Kashmir by these forces including the Karimabad village in Pulwama district where during a pre-dawn raid five innocent youth were apprehended besides causing irreparable loss to the property of the innocent civilians and beating a number of them.” »
