Srinagar, February 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) has said the hanging of Kashmiri leaders, Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru, is like a black page in the judicial history.

The JRL comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “A human (Muhammad Afzal Guru) was secretly put to gallows in 2013 on petty pretext of satisfying the collective conscience of Indian people, without giving him a last chance to meet his family and handing over his corpse to them for last rites.” »

Muhammad Akbar Lone talking to mediamen said that he was a Muslim first and his sentiments were hurt when the BJP MLAs were shouting anti-Pakistan slogans. “I couldn’t control my emotions and raised Pakistan Zindabad slogans,” he added. »

Islamabad, February 10 (KMS): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL), Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has said that martyrdom is the soul of freedom movement.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Islamabad paid glowing tributes to prominent martyred Kashmiri liberation leaders, Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru, on their martyrdom anniversaries.

India had executed Muhammad Maqbool Butt in New Delhi’s Tihar jail on February 11 in 1984 and Muhammad Afzal Guru on February 09 in 2013 in the same jail. The bodies of the two martyrs remain buried in the premises of the jail. »

Srinagar, February 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown will be observed and a march will be conducted towards the UN office at Sonawar in Srinagar, tomorrow, to mark the martyrdom anniversary of prominent Kashmiri liberation leader, Muhammad Maqbool Butt.

Call for the shutdown and march has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik to press the demand for the return of the mortal remains of Muhammad Maqbool Butt and another Kashmiri leader, Muhammad Afzal Guru to their families. »
