Srinagar, February 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested senior resistance leader, Muhammad Yasin Malik, in Shopian town, today, as tried to lead a rally against the recent killing of innocent civilians by Indian troops.

The Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had called for a march towards Shopian, today, against the surge in civilian killings. They had also announced to conduct a rally from Jamia Masjid to the main chowk in Shopian. »

Srinagar, February 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the fate of the passport of Hurriyat forum Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, would be decided after the police verification report to the Srinagar Passport Office.

Regional Passport Officer, Srinagar, Brij Bushan Nagar, in a media interview in Srinagar said that they were yet to receive police verification report for renewal of Mirwaiz’s passport. “Once we receive the verification report, we issue the passport next day.” »

Srinagar, February 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities imposed restrictions in Srinagar and Shopian to foil a march towards Shopian town, today.

Call for the march has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik to express solidarity with the families of the civilians who were recently killed in the brutal actions of Indian troops in the district.

However, the authorities have imposed stringent restrictions in Srinagar and Shopian to prevent people from converging at the Jamia Masjid in Shopian from where a rally will be conducted up to the main chowk of the town after Friday prayers. The puppet authorities have put Hurriyat leaders including Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Aasiya Andrabi, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar, Mukhtar Ahmed Waza, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Bilal Siddiqi, Bashir Ahmad Butt, Sheikh Abdul Rasheed, Muhammad Ashraf Laya, Umar Aadil Dar and Muhammad Yousuf Makroo under house arrest or in custody to stop them from leading the march. Indian police raided the residences of Hurriyat leaders including Muhammad Yasin Malik, Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Javaid Ahmed Zargar and Zahoor Ahmed Butt and harassed the inmates.

The occupation authorities have also suspended train service between Baramulla area of the Kashmir Valley and Banihal area of Jammu region.

Srinagar, February 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Shada Banoo shouldered the coffin of her 10-year-old lone son from the funeral ground to the graveyard in Shopian’s Datmudoor village.

Musharraf Fayaz was critically injured on January 25 after a shell exploded when the people were clearing the debris of a house destroyed by Indian troops with mortar shells and explosive material at Chaigund in Shopian. He was shifted to a hospital in Srinagar where he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday. »
