One more youth martyred in Hajin
Srinagar, March 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their unabated acts of state terrorism, martyred fifteen Kashmiris including a young boy and a girl during the last month of February.

According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, of those killed one youth was martyred in custody. These killings rendered two women widowed and eleven children orphaned. As many as fifty seven people were injured when troops used brute force and fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells on mourners and peaceful protesters. One hundred seventy nine civilians including Hurriyet leaders and activists were arrested. The forces destroyed and damaged sixteen residential houses during the month.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said, “Kashmiri people pay tributes to the dozens of Zakura and Tengpora martyrs with moist eyes. The mission of martyrs will be taken to its logical conclusion”.

Srinagar, March 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement (DPM) has sought the intervention of the United Nations (UN) for peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute.

The DPM Chairman, Muhammad Shafi Reshi, while addressing party workers in Srinagar also urged the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to play its role in implementation of the UN resolutions on Kashmir. »

Srinagar, March 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the members of Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (APDP) staged a demonstration at Press Colony in Srinagar demanding whereabouts of their enforced disappeared relatives.

Scores of protestors holding banners and placards assembled at the Press Colony and demanded of the puppet authorities to reveal the whereabouts of their near and dear ones who have been subjected to custodial disappearance by Indian troops and police during since 1989 in the occupied territory. »

Srinagar, March 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Mirwaiz-led Hurriyat forum and High Court Bar Association have condemned the custodial killing of a youth, Mushtaq Ahmad Chopan and summoning of youth by Indian army at camps and force them to do labor work.

A spokesman of the Hurriyat forum in a statement issued in Srinagar rejected the police version of the killing of Mushtaq Chopan at Tral police station terming it a totally concocted story in the light of the statements of the locals. »

Srinagar, March 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, as many as 40 detainees have been shifted from the Srinagar central jail to prisons outside the Valley.

The local Prisons Department chalked out a list of these detainees lodged in the central jail and immediately a movement order for shifting them was initiated, officials said in Srinagar. »

Srinagar, March 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred one more youth in Bandipore district, today.

The troops killed the youth during a crackdown operation at Shakurdin in Hajin area of the district. The operation continued till reports last came in.

An Indian police officer claimed that the youth was a militant and was killed in an encounter with the troops. »
