New Delhi, March 12 (KMS): A Delhi court has granted bail to Kashmiri photojournalist Kamran Yousuf, who was detained by India’s National Investigation agency (NIA) in a fake case registered against him in occupied Kashmir.

Additional Sessions Judge Tarun Sherawat allowed the bail plea of Yousuf, asking him to furnish two sureties of Rs 50,000. »

Multiple rounds of funerals held

Srinagar, March 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three Kashmiri youth in Hakoora area of Islamabad district, today.

The youth were shot dead during a cordon and search operation. The martyred youth were identified as Eesa Fazli, Owais Shafi and Sabzar Ahmad Sofi. The killings led to forceful anti-India protests followed by massive clashes between Indian forces and angry youth in several places of the occupied territory.

Complete shutdown was observed in Srinagar, Shopian, Islamabad and other areas of the Valley against the killings. All shops, business establishments and schools were closed while traffic was off the road. Class work at the University of Kashmir was suspended and all examinations scheduled, today, were postponed. The authorities suspended internet and train services in the Valley. »

Muzaffarabad, March 12 (KMS): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL), Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has strongly condemned killing of three youth in a fresh wave of state terrorism.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the India-patronized regime in Srinagar had exceeded all limits and surpassed every brutality to crush the liberation movement of the right to self-determination. He said that the UN should reprimand Delhi for its systematic ethnic cleansing of the Kashmir youth and hold India accountable for its gross flagrant human rights atrocities against youth, children and women in Kashmir. »

Youth took to the streets and staged massive protests in Islamabad and Kokernag areas of the district. The protests were followed by massive clashes in the areas.

Geneva, March 12 (KMS): A top UN official during a conversation with a Kashmiri representative in the presence of more than 500 representatives of major international human rights organizations has declared the situation in Kashmir a serious concern.

The unprecedented conversation occurred when Zeid Ra’ad Al-Hussein, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, held a rare meeting with over 500 representatives of the civil society across the globe, on the sidelines of the 37th session of Human Rights Council, which will continue until March 23. »
