Srinagar, March 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani has rejected an offer of dialogue by India.

The APHC spokesman, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar, in a statement in Srinagar said that an official of Indian Intelligence Bureau (IB) proposed a dialogue between New Delhi and Syed Ali Gilani. He said that Syed Ali Gilani refused to talk, saying, “Unless and until the Kashmir dispute is addressed in its historical perspective, all these attempts are futile.” The APHC Chairman asked India to acknowledge the disputed status of the Kashmir and withdraw its troops from occupied Kashmir to pave way for holding of referendum in the territory, said Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar. »

Srinagar, March 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations paid glowing tributes to the youth martyrs by Indian troops in Balhama Khunmoh area of Srinagar.

The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed concern over the ongoing bloodshed by the Indian troops and said Kashmir freedom-fighters are on path of sacrifice but their day to day martyrdoms is a matter of grave concern. It reiterated that if New Delhi is serious in ending the bloodshed in the disputed region, it must immediately come forward for settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute in accordance with the will of the Kashmiri people. »

Demos, clashes, shutdown in Pulwama

Srinagar, March 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred two Kashmiri youth in Srinagar city, today.

Bodies of the youth, Rasiq Nabi Butt and Shabbir Ahmed, were recovered from the debris of four residential houses destroyed by the troops at Balhama Khunmoh on the outskirts of the city.

People staged forceful demonstrations in Pulwama town, Tral, Nawdal, Awantipora, Aghanzipora and other areas of Pulwama district against the killing of the youth. Indian troops and police used brute force against the demonstrators, triggering clashes between the protesters and the forces’ personnel. »

Srinagar, March 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) has said that its illegally detained Chairman, Masarrat Aalam Butt, was brought from Kot Bhalwal Jail, Jammu, to Srinagar where he was presented in the court of Additional Session Judge in a fake case registered against him.

The JKML spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the judge, after hearing the case, fixed March 28 for next hearing and Masarrat Aalam Butt was shifted back to Kot Bhalwal Jail. »

Srinagar, March 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested Hurriyat leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, at Barakpore in Kokarnag area of Islamabad district, today.

Mukhtar Ahmad Waza was arrested when he was going to Wail, Kokarnag, to express solidarity with the family of martyred Syed Owais Shafi. He has been detained at Saddar Police Station in Islamabad town. »

Srinagar, March 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, clashes erupted in several areas of Pulwama district, today, following the killing of two local youth by Indian troops in Srinagar.

The troops killed the youth during a violent military operation at Balhama Khunmoh on the outskirts of Srinagar. Bodies of the youth were recovered from the debris of four residential houses destroyed by the troops. »

Srinagar, March 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has expressed deep anguish and resentment over the intervention in the religious affairs of Kashmiri Muslims by the Indian forces in the territory.

The JI spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar deplored that the organizers of the religious congregations are called to the army camps and intimidated and harassed without any justification just to forcibly restrain them from these rightful activities. »
