Srinagar March 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani has said that Indian leadership is responsible for prevailing political uncertainty and a war-like situation in the South Asian region.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar rejected the Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s rhetoric to cross over the Line of Control in the name of protecting territorial integrity, and said that Indian leaders while ignoring historical facts were creating war euphoria in the region. »

Srinagar, March 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior Hurriyat leader Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai was elected as Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir.

The TehreeK-e-Hurriyat, today, held a meeting at its office in Srinagar and elected senior member Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai as the TeH chairman, said a party spokesman.

London, March 19 (KMS): Speakers at a seminar have demanded of the UK government to play role in granting Kashmiris their right to self-determination and stopping massive human rights violations by India in occupied Kashmir.

The speakers also urged Britain to take up the issue of killing of innocent people in Azad Jammu and Kashmir by the firing of Indian troops on the Line of Control (LoC) in the parliament. »

Srinagar March 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian forces launched Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Pampore and Zinpora areas of Pulwama on Monday.

Forces launched a joint search operation near Punjab National Bank and Tehsil office Pampore and Zinpora areas after suspicious movement.

Witnesses told media men that heavy deployment of Army, police, SOG and CRPF personnel had cordoned the whole area and started searches. »

Srinagar March 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Abdul Qadeer, the Executive Director of Voice of Victims (VoV), a human rights organization, has expressed serious concern over the increasing psychological diseases and termed insecurity and chaos root causes of such ailments.

Abdul Qadeer in a statement issued in Srinagar said that psychological problems had been increasing in Kashmir. He said a survey report on Kashmir maintains that a third of its respondents suffered from psychological distress. »

Zafar Akbar Butt addressing a news conference in Srinagar, today, after a twenty-day tour of Pakistan, said that during his stay in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Pakistan, he observed that all people concerned with Kashmir cause, yearn for stability and peace in the region. He said, “We are not against talks between India and Pakistan but if you want to see the result on ground then take resistance leadership on board’’, said he and stressed for greater unity among those pursuing right to self-determination. »

Srinagar March 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an extra-ordinary meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) was held, today, in Srinagar under its party Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza.

During the meeting different issues were discussed including the present prevailing situation of the territory.

New Delhi, March 19 (KMS): In utter manifestation of discrimination against occupied Jammu and Kashmir, all recommendations from the territory, four of them made by even Governor NN Vohra, didn’t find a place in this year’s Padma awards, one of the highest civilian honors of India announced annually on the eve of Republic Day. Padma awards will be conferred on March 20 and April 2.

Puppet administration of occupied Kashmir had recommended nine names, four of them by even Governor Vohra, and all of them were rejected by a high-level 10-member Selection Committee, constituted by the Indian government. »

Urges Modi to accept Pakistan as neighbor

New Delhi, March 19 (KMS): Former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has launched an all-out attack on the Modi government, saying it has mismanaged the dispute in Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing the 84th Congress plenary session in New Delhi, Manmohan Singh said the BJP-led government’s talk of fighting two and a half wars was “yet another hollow promise”. »
