JRL holds protest in Srinagar against Indian policies
Srinagar, March 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai has emphasized that the ultimate goal of the Kashmir freedom movement is to liberate Jammu and Kashmir from Indian occupation.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, who was recently elected as TeH Chairman, in an interview in Srinagar, said that the people of Kashmir had no international agenda and the Indian agencies were continuously engaged in defaming the Kashmir movement creating confusion among the masses. He pointed out that the Kashmir movement had an indigenous character that could not be by allowed to be undermined. The pro-freedom camp, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai added, has nothing to do with the organizations like Daesh and their ideology. »

Srinagar, March 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops launched a cordon and search operation in Shopian district.

The troops cordoned off Turkawangam area of district and conducted door to door searches, causing huge inconvenience to the people. »

Srinagar, March 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has said that India added black and barbarous chapter to the history by denying the inalienable right of self-determination to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that draconian laws, Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and Public Safety Act (PSA) were the offshoots of the unresolved Kashmir dispute. He said this while reacting to the statement of Indian Minister, Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, wherein he stated that New Delhi had no plans to withdraw AFSPA in occupied Kashmir. »

Srinagar, March 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik, organized a demonstration outside historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar against shifting of Kashmiri detainees to jails outside the Kashmir Valley.

Led by Muhammad Yasin Malik, a large number of Hurriyat leaders and activists participated in the demonstration. The protesters were carrying placards and banners with slogans demanding release of the prisoners. »

Srinagar, March 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has said that Indian forces’ personnel are interfering in the religious matters of Muslims at various places especially in South Kashmir.

The JI spokesman, Advocate Zahid Ali, in a statement in Srinagar said, “At some places the Imams and preachers of Masjids are forced to attend the camps for reporting the religious activities going on in the mosques and even asked to prepare audio/video recording of their speeches.” »

Srinagar, March 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, various Hurriyat leaders have greeted the government and the people of Pakistan on the eve of their National Day, which is observed on 23rd of March every year.

Felicitating the government, people, political parties and military leadership of Pakistan, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party in a statement issued in Srinagar hoped that Pakistan would continue to raise its voice for the oppressed Muslim brethren in Kashmir and elsewhere. »

New Delhi, March 22 (KMS): Noted Kashmiri rights activists and the Chairman of International Forum for Justice and Human Rights, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo has urged the Indian government to stop genocide, arrest and harassment of Kashmiri people and adopt a realistic approach for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

New Delhi, March 22 (KMS): The Indian armed forces are facing a shortage of over 52,000 soldiers with the Army topping the list with over 21,000 vacant posts.

The details provided by Indian Minister of State for Defence, Subhash Bhamre, to the Lok Sabha, say, “The Army is reeling under a shortage of 21,383 personnel, while the number of vacant posts in the Navy is 16,348 and 15,010 in the Air Force.” Replying to a question, he said 7,680 posts of officers are lying vacant in the Army. »
