Srinagar, March 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has termed Pakistan as centre of hope of Muslim Ummah and said that the country is a great blessing for the Muslims.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar while greeting the Pakistan government, Pakistan Army and the people of Pakistan on the Pakistan’s National Day, said the country has a political importance in the Muslim world and this country is centre of hope not only for the Muslims of sub-continent but for the whole world.

The statement said that Pakistan’s Deputy High Commissioner in New Delhi called Syed Ali Gilani on the telephone and extended the invitation for participation on Pakistan day, however, the octogenarian leader while extending his greeting replied that he can’t attend because of health issues. »

Anti-India demonstrations in Srinagar, Islamabad Town

Srinagar, March 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have felicitated the people and the government of Pakistan on the occasion of Pakistan’s National Day, today.

The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, in a telephonic conversation with the Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan in New Delhi, while extending his greetings termed Pakistan as centre of hope for the Muslim Ummah. Syed Ali Gilani said that the country had a political importance in the Muslim world and was significant not for the people of the subcontinent only but also for the whole Muslim Ummah. He lauded the unparalleled sacrifices rendered by the Muslims for the creation of Pakistan and described the country as Almighty Allah’s blessing for the Muslims.

Srinagar, March 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) celebrated Pakistan Day in Srinagar, today, in which the party chief Aasiya Andrabi said that all Muslims in the sub-continent are Pakistanis.

Srinagar, March 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik, has said that the repressive measures taken by India against the Kashmiri people and Hurriyat leaders is a sheer political vendetta.

The resistance leaders in a statement issued in Srinagar condemned the shifting of prisoners including Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo, Dr Shafi Shariati, Ghulam Qadir Butt, Feroz Ahmed, Pervez Ahmed and dozens of others from Srinagar Central Jail to the prisons outside the Kashmir Valley. They termed the move not only against the basic principles of humanity but also a violation of Indian Supreme Court’s directions. »

New Delhi, March 23 (KMS): Noted Kashmiri rights activists and the Chairman of International Forum for Justice and Human Rights, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo during an interaction with the students of Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi, urged them to know ground reality about occupied Kashmir.

Muhammad Ahsan Untoo while interacting with the students said, “As bright students you should know about Kashmir. You should raise your voice and show concern about the human rights violations committed by India in Kashmir.”

“You have to make it understand that Indian Judiciary behaves differently when it comes to Kashmir. It was vocal about Major Aditya’s FIR while remained mum about the Kashmir killings,” Untoo said.

New Delhi, March 23 (KMS): Nearly 700 personnel of the Indian Armed Forces committed suicide in the last six years, more than those killed in action, the Home Ministry told a parliamentary panel.

“During the last six years, approximately 700 personnel of the Central Armed Police Forces have committed suicide and the rate of voluntary retirement is approximately 9,000 personnel per year,” senior officials of the ministry, led by the Home Secretary, told the Parliament’s Committee on Estimates.

This was in response to the committee’s concerns on the large number of paramilitary personnel committing suicide or taking voluntary retirement.

Srinagar, March 23 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference (JKMC) was held at its headquarters in Srinagar in which Merajuddin Soleh was unanimously elected as the new President of the party.

The JKMC in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the development took place after Muhammad Sultan Magray had decided not to continue with the assignment owing to his ill-health and had conveyed the decision to the core committee. »
