Thousands attend funeral of slain youth

Srinagar, March 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred one more Kashmiri youth in Badgam district, today.

The troops killed the youth, Shafat Hussain Wani, during a cordon and search operation at Khan Mohallah Arizal in Beerwah area of the district in the wee hours, today. A 17-year-old girl identified as Humaira sustained bullet wounds in the firing of the troops.

Thousands of people participated in the funeral of the martyred Shafat Hussain Wani in his native Wagoora area of Baramulla district. Eyewitnesses said that thousands of mourners, including men, women and elderly, assembled in the area after the news of Shafat’s martyrdom reached there. The mourners raised pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans as the body of the martyr was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard. The puppet authorities had suspended mobile internet services in parts of Baramulla and Badgam districts following the killing. The authorities had also deployed Indian troops and police personnel in strength in Wagoora to prevent people from staging demonstrations against the killing. »

Srinagar, March 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian army vandalized property and thrashed people in Tral area of Pulwama district which sparked protests.

The residents of Mandoora area of Tral told mediamen that the army personnel assaulted a shopkeeper without any reason and damaged several vehicles. »

The leaders after attending the human rights conference in Geneva in a joint statement in London criticised India for its deceptive role and continued plans of genocide in occupied Kashmir. »

Srinagar, March 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, fearing massive participation of people in the funeral prayers of the two youth who were killed by Indian troops in Islamabad district, the puppet authorities have buried them in remote Gantamullah area of Baramulla district.

The youth were killed by the troops during a cordon and search operation at Shestergam in Dooru area of Islamabad district on Friday night. »

Srinagar, March 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, although the Indian Army has closed the Pathribal fake encounter case but even after 18 years the families of the victims vow to fight for justice.

The Army had killed five persons and burnt their bodies beyond recognition in Pathribal area of Islamabad district on March 25 claiming that the killed were involved in the mass killing of members of Sikh community at Chittisinghpora in the district. »

New Delhi, March 25 (KMS): After photojournalist, Kamran Yousuf, another Kashmiri, Javed Ahmed Butt, has been granted bail by a Delhi court in a false case being investigated by Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA).

The 24-year-old Javed Ahmed Butt, a resident of Qaimoh area of Kulgam, was arrested by the NIA on September 5 last year on the charges of pelting stones on the Indian forces during anti-India protests. »
