Srinagar, March 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik and other Hurriyat leaders have paid glowing tributes to martyrs Ishfaq Majeed Wani, Shabbir Siddiqi and others, who sacrificed their lives for the cause of freedom struggle of Kashmir.

Muhammad Yasin Malik addressing a public gathering at Anchar in Soura, today, said that Ishfaq Majeed Wani was a symbol of courage, fearlessness, piousness, and passion. He said that torture cells, jails and other oppression could not deter him from his path and he stood firm for freedom movement till his last breath. He said the doctrine of unity and oneness left behind by Ishfaq Majeed Wani is still relevant and dearer to JKLF and this is why JKLF and its leadership always loves and strives for unity and will always stand for this important ingredient for attaining freedom and right to self-determination. »

Srinagar, March 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that the Indian government under a pre-planned policy is continuously utilizing every tactic to undermine the disputes status and sensitivity of Kashmir dispute.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing a public gathering at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar said that the authorities were targeting the resistance leaders and youth of the territory to suppress the ongoing liberation movement. He said that brute force was being used to frighten the youth and harass their families to suppress the ongoing liberation struggle. »

Srinagar, March 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leader and the JKSM Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt has said that he was not allowed to meet party leader, Hilal Beig, and other detainees lodged at Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu.

Zafar Akbar Butt in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the jail authorities told him that they had received directives from the higher officials not to allow anyone except selective family members to meet any Kashmiri prisoner. »

Srinagar, Mar 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has reiterated that settlement of the Kashmir dispute is possible through talks involving Pakistan, India and the genuine Kashmiri leadership in line with the relevant UN resolutions.

Mukhtar Ahmed Waza addressing a public gathering in Madhama Sangam in Islamabad said that Kashmir had been turned into a concentration camp where people were being subjected to the worst kind of brutalities. »

Srinagar, March 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) has expressed serious concern over the plight of Kashmiri political detainees languishing in different jails of India and the territory.

The JKML spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar deplored that the political detainees were being deprived of basic facilities including the medical care. He said that due to non-availability of medical facilities the health of detainees was deteriorating with each passing day.

He praised the courage and steadfastness of illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists including Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Masarrat Aalam Butt, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo, Dr Muhammad Shafi Shariati, Ghulam Qadir Butt, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Muhammad Yousuf Mir, Muhammad Rafique Ganai, Assadullah Parray, Showkat Hakeem, Merajuddin Nanda, Molvi Sajjad, Ayaz Akbar, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Pir Saifullah, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Tanveer Ahmed War and Bashir Ahmed Sofi and demanded their immediate release.

Meanwhile, the patron of Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement, Farida Bahenji in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed serious concern over the plight of Kashmiri political detainees languishing in different jails of India and the territory and demanded their immediate and unconditional release.

Sehrai calls for Kashmir settlement under UN resolutions

Srinagar, March 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has said that the people of Kashmir will remain steadfast till the goal of their inalienable right to self-determination is achieved.

Syed Ali Gilani delivered a brief speech at Jamia Majid Hyderpora after he was allowed to offer Juma prayers for the first time during the last eight years. The occupation authorities kept him under house arrest since 2010. The APHC Chairman maintained that a new strategy to achieve freedom from Indian subjugation would be soon formulated after due consultations. Earlier, as soon as the news of Syed Ali Gilani’s release spread in the area, a large number of people, including women and children, thronged the masjid to listen his speech. Clashes between the people and the police ensued soon after prayers ended at the Jamia Masjid where the APHC Chairman offered prayers and addressed the gathering. »

London, March 30 (KMS): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International (JKSDMI), Raja Najabat Hussain handed over to officials of Kashmir Group in the UK Parliament a petition containing signatures of 54 members of the Parliament that will be submitted to the House for fourth debate on Kashmir.

The Chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Kashmir in the UK Parliament, Chris Leslie, and other office-bearers receiving the application in the House of Commons, paid rich tributes to Raja Najabat Hussain and his team and reiterated the pledge that his group would continue to raise voice for the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination in the UK Parliament. »

Srinagar, March 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, India-appointed interlocutor on Kashmir, Dineshwar Sharma, during his visit to Tral area of Pulwama district received a cold response from the local people.

The road leading to Tral was quietest unlike the storm created by the killing of local Hizbul Mujaihideen commander Burhan Wani in 2016. The traffic was skeletal and shops were closed. »

Srinagar, March 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Human Rights Commission has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Kupwara to furnish the list of killed and injured persons in 1990 Handwara massacre.

The commission also directed the petitioner, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, to identify the kin of the deceased and injured persons if he had any information about it. »

The puppet authorities have shifted Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori to some unknown place after the High Court of the territory quashed his detention under the black law, Public Safety Act, and ordered his release. »
