Islamabad, April 02 (KMS): In Pakistan, the killings of seventeen youth in Islamabad and Shopian districts, yesterday, were condemned by all state and non-state organizations.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said on Monday that India was incapable of silencing Kashmir. He expressed deep sorrow over the recent loss of life in Kashmir and condemned Indian tyranny. He said India could not silence Kashmiris. The prime minister went on to add that the Kashmiri struggle for independence could not be called terrorism. »

Troops resort to firing inside Shopian hospital

Srinagar, April 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, normal life came to a standstill, today, due to a complete shutdown against the massacre carried out by the Indian troops in Shopian and Islamabad districts, yesterday.

Call for the strike was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. The troops killed 17 youth including 13 in siege and search operations and four in firing on protesters and funerals in the two districts. Over 200 civilians were injured, many of them critically, in the firing. Pellet guns were used on protesters, many of whose eyes got damaged. The troops did not allow even the ambulances to take the injured to hospitals. They damaged many houses while using chemical substance. The strike also affected life in far-flung areas of Ramban district in Jammu region. »

Srinagar, April 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations continued to condemn the killing of civilians by Indian troops in Drargad and Kachdoora areas of South Kashmir.

The spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKNF) in a statement issued in Srinagar condemned the fresh killings in Kashmir at the hands of forces. He said, “Kashmiri youth are being massacred by the forces for their only sin that they want their birthright to self-determination. »

Srinagar, April 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed in several areas of Ramban district in Jammu region against the killing of seventeen people by Indian troops in Shopian district.

The highway town of Banihal, Khari, Tethar and Chareel in Ramban district observed shutdown to mourn the killings.

All business establishments and schools remained close while local transport remained off the roads in these areas. Contingents of police were deployed in these areas to prevent protests.

Srinagar, April 02(KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) Monday lodged a strong protest at Lal Chowk in Srinagar against the civilian killings in South Kashmir.

Raising pro-freedom slogans the members of KTMF staged a sit in at Ganta Ghar in the city. The protesting traders demanded an end to the genocide of Kashmiri people. »

An eyewitness said the hostel boarders from Zakura Hostel, M.A Hostel and M.A.K Hostel assembled outside the convocation complex of the varsity and staged pro-freedom slogans. »

Police arrest Yasin Malik in Srinagar

Srinagar, April 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown marked by curfew and restrictions is being observed against the killing of over one-and-half dozen youth by Indian troops in a single day in the territory.
