Forces’ picket set ablaze in Srinagar

Srinagar, April 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, students hit streets in Srinagar, Bandipora, Kupwara and other parts of the territory, today, to condemn the killing of 19 youth by the Indian troops in South Kashmir.

The students of Central University of Kashmir, Kashmir University and different colleges held protests in many parts of the territory and raised pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. The agitating students offered funeral prayers in absentia for the martyred youth. They carried banners reading slogans like, ‘Stop Genocide’, ‘Free Kashmir’ and ‘Stop killings’ in Kashmir.

The students of Government Degree College Bemina and Amar Singh College Srinagar, Government Degree College Sumbal Bandipora, Degree College Kupwara and Degree Handwara took to streets to mourn the brutal killings. »

Islamabad, April 05 (KMS): The government and the people of Pakistan will obseve Kashmir Solidarity Day tomorrow on Friday to express their support to the people of Kashmir, struggling to achieve their inalienable right to self-determination.

This was decided by the Federal cabinet of Pakistan. The federal cabinet met in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif gave a presentation on the situation in Kashmir. »

Srinagar, April 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, students of Central University of Kashmir (CUK), Kashmir University (KU) and colleges, today, held protests in many parts of the territory against the recent killing of 18 Kashmiris by the Indian troops in Shopian, Islamabad and Ganderbal districts.

The students of Central University of Kashmir (CUK) assembled at the Nowgam campus and raised slogans condemning the killings. The agitating students offered funeral prayers in absentia for the martyred youth. »

Srinagar, April 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, illegally detained Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik has criticized the puppet authorities for preventing the Shopian march.

Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement from Srinagar Central Jail condemned the ban on the march, call for which was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership. He said one day the puppet authorities announce to allow political activities but the other day they ban and forcibly stop even the tiniest of the political activities. »

Srinagar, April 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti faced forceful anti-India protests during her visit to the family of a martyr, Gowhar Ahmad Rather, in Kangan area of Ganderbal district, today.

People including men and women took to streets and held protests on Mehbooba Mufti’s arrival in the town. The protesters raised pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. »

Srinagar, April 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Muzahamat (TeM) delegations visited Soura and SMHS hospitals in Srinagar and enquired about the health of those injured in Shopian and Kangan areas in the firing of Indian troops on protesters on Sunday and Monday.

The delegations headed by Shabbir Ahmed Zargar and Sheikh Musaib visited the hospitals to enquire about the injured people. »

Srinagar, April 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) has condemned the continued illegal detention of its Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt terming it as political vendetta.

The JKSM spokesman in a statement in Srinagar deplored that the Indian forces were using brute force on peaceful protesters. He added that India through such cheap tactics could not weaken the freedom sentiment of the Kashmiri people. »

Srinagar, April 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, hardly a day had elapsed since Director General of Police, S P Vaid, had claimed that all pro-freedom leaders were free to go anywhere, it was on Wednesday when the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani was seen knocking at his main gate that the police had locked to restrict his movement.

Syed Ali Gilani, along with other APHC leaders, was scheduled to visit Shopian town to express solidarity with the families of 18 youth martyred by Indian troops during cordon and search operations and in firing on protesters in Shopian, Islamabad and Ganderbal areas on Sunday and Monday. »

Crime committed to drive out local Muslims: Official

Jammu, April 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, medical investigation into the rape and murder of Aasifa Bano, the eight-year-old victim, has revealed that the child was drugged and raped before she was killed. Forensic evidence has also confirmed that the minor girl was held captive inside a temple at Devasthan.

Aasifa went missing from her native village of Rasana in Hira Nagar area of Kathua district in Jammu region on January 10, 2018 and her mutilated body was found on January 17, 2018 near the village. »
