Hurriyat leaders detained, 1 more youth martyred

Srinagar, April 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, massive protests rocked all major towns of the territory, today, over the recent killing of nineteen youth by the Indian troops while several people were injured due to the use of brute force by the troops on the protesters.

Call for the demonstrations was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership. Complete shutdown was observed all across the occupied territory.

People took to the streets in Srinagar, Badgam, Charar-e-Sharif, Ganderbal, Kangan, Shopian, Islamabad, Pulwama, Kupwara, Trehgam, Palhalan, Pattan, Baramulla and other areas raising high-pitched pro-Pakistan, pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. Islamabad, April 06 (KMS): Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed, today, across the country to condemn the ongoing Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir and to express support to the Kashmiris in their just struggle for securing their inalienable right to self-determination.

The decision to observe the Solidarity Day was taken by the Federal Cabinet at its meeting held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi following the killing of innocent people by the Indian troops in occupied Kashmir on Sunday. »

Srinagar, April 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed, today, in Banihal town of Jammu region to protest against the recent killing of eighteen youth by Indian troops.

All shops, business establishment and schools remain closed in solidarity with victim families.

The troops killed eighteen youth and injured over two hundred people during cordon and search operations and by opening fire on protesters in Shopian, Islamabad and Ganderbal districts on last Sunday and Monday. »

London, April 06 (KMS): Noted Kashmiri jurist and Secretary General of the London-based Jammu and Kashmir Council for Human Rights (JKCHR), Dr Syed Nazir Gilani, has said that the Indian occupation forces cannot win the war in occupied Kashmir as the Kashmiri girl students have decided to shield the combatant youth whom they have called their brothers.

Srinagar, April 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai has paid glowing tributes to the martyred youth, Gowher Ahmed Rathar.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, who is under house arrest in Srinagar, addressing a condolence reference held in Kangan area of Ganderbal for the martyred youth said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would never go waste. He said that the unresolved Kashmir dispute posed serious threat to the regional peace. He also expressed solidarity with the bereaved family. »
