Shutdown against killings in IOK tomorrow

Srinagar, April 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh acts of state terrorism martyred, at least, four Kashmiri youth including a teenage boy in Kulgam district, today.

Four youth were killed when the troops opened fire on people protesting against a cordon and search operation launched by the troops in Khudwani area of the district. Four houses were also destroyed by the troops during the operation. A 13-year-old Bilal Ahmad Dar is among the martyrs. Over one hundred protesters were injured in firing of bullets and pellets by the troops. Many youth with pellet injuries were shifted to SMHS, Srinagar. The troops were backed by gunship helicopters. Earlier, an Indian soldier was killed and two others were injured in a clash in the area. »

Srinagar, April 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership has called for shutdown and protests, tomorrow, against the killing of civilians by the Indian forces in Kulgam district, today.

Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, the leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik gave the call for strike, tomorrow. The leaders also asked people to hold protests, tomorrow, against the killings in Kulgam. »

Srinagar, April 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq while terming the cordon and search operations launched by the Indian forces as “Operation Wipe Out”, has appealed to the United Nations and international community to step in as situation in the territory is terrible.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said, it’s not an operation all out, but operation wipe out launched by Indian state as 13-year-old Bilal along with two others fell victim to the forces’ bullets in Kulgam. »

Srinagar, April 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, has expressed surprise and anger over the filing of an FIR in Soura Police station, Srinagar, against seven party activists arrested in Pinglana area of Pulwama district.

Aasiya Andrabi in a statement issued in Srinagar wondered how a case can be registered in Srinagar against the women who were walking in Pulwama. She said that these women were being remanded in a fake FIR. »

Andhra university website hacked, ‘Free Kashmir’ slogans displayed

Hyderabad, April 11 (KMS): The official website of Andhra University was hacked with a message that institutionalized impunity for killer Indian forces in occupied Kashmir should be a source of shame for India, which claims to be a democratic country.

A message posted on the hacked website quoted Act number 45 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) 1860 Act — which said, the Act shall extend to the whole of India except the Jammu and Kashmir — to testify the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir. The message said that Kashmir did not want militarized governance, but freedom. »

Srinagar, April 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the investigation by the Crime Branch of Kashmir police has revealed that former revenue official and custodian of Kathua’s Devisthan temple, Sanji Ram, had separately tasked his nephew and an Indian policeman with kidnapping 8-year-old Aasifa, administering her sedatives, and confining her in Devisthan temple.

The investigation says that the conspiracy was hatched days before the little girl was raped and found murdered. »

Over 50 injured in troops’ firing in Kulgam

Srinagar, April 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred three Kashmiris including a teenage boy in Kulgam district, today.

The youth were killed after the troops fired bullets on people who were protesting against cordon and search operation in Khudwani area of the district. The martyrs have been identified as Sharjeel Ahmad Sheikh, 28, 13-year-old Bilal Ahmad Dar and Failsal Ilahi. At least, four houses were also set on fire by the troops in the area. »
