HR bodies urged to help release Kashmiri detainees

Srinagar, April 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chief, Muhammad Yasin Malik, and other pro-freedom leaders and organizations have demanded severe punishment to the perpetrators of rape and murder of eight-year-old Aasifa Bano of Kathua area of Jammu region.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement in Srinagar said that the monstrous crime was an open assault on humanity and civilization. He said that every human irrespective of religion, ideology, belief or background should in unison demand an exemplary punishment for these beasts who had shamed the mankind. »

Srinagar, April 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, students affiliated with ‘All J&K Tribal Students Association’ on Saturday staged a protest demonstration in Handwara town of Kupwara to demand exemplary punishment for rapists and murderers of eight-year-old Aasifa Bano.

Carrying placards with messages like ‘Death to Rapists’ and ‘Nomads will not be cowed down by the cowards’, the protesters marched through the main chowk of Handwara while raising slogans against the puppet regime. »

Srinagar, April 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, prominent religious scholar and the Chairman of Ummat-e-Islami, Qazi Ahmed Yasir has said that India cannot defeat the people of Kashmir through use of military might and other brutal tactics.

Qazi Yasir addressing a public gathering at Khudwani in Kulgam praised the people of the area who have been showing resilience to brutal Indian forces. »

Washington DC, April 14 (KMS): A rally will be organized at the White House in Washington DC on April 29 to protest against the recent killing spree unleashed by the Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.

Srinagar, April 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed in Tral township of Pulwama district to commemorate the third martyrdom anniversary of Khalid Muzaffar Wani, the brother of prominent martyred youth, Burhan Wani.

All shops and business establishments remained closed in the town while traffic was off the road.

Khalid Wani (25), who was running a clinical laboratory at Hamdania Market in Tral, was pursuing post-graduation in political science from Indira Gandhi National Open University. »

Srinagar, April 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, fire damaged a mosque at Katchnambal in Kangan area of Ganderbal district on Saturday.

Reports said that the fire broke out in the first floor of the mosque at Najar Mohalla, causing massive damage to the structure.

Srinagar, April 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference headed by its President, Merajuddin Soleh, visited different areas of Kulgam, Islamabad and Shopian districts and expressed solidarity with the families of the civilians who were recently martyred by the Indian troops.

The JKMC President in his brief speech in Khudwani, Bijbehara and Shopian areas paid rich tributes to the martyred civilians and reaffirmed the Kashmriis’ resolve to continue the mission of their martyrs till complete success. He praised the courage of the aggrieved families and lauded the people for showing solidarity with the bereaved families of the martyrs. »
