Srinagar, April 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, scores of protesters in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, today, demanded death penalty to those involved in gang rape and murder of a minor girl in Kathua district earlier this year.

Srinagar, April 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of martyr Amir Hamid Lone who succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Srinagar, today.

Amir Hamid Lone, 22, a resident of Chuturgul Kangan, was critically injured in shelling by Indian forces on protesters in Kangan, erupted against the killing of another civilian Gowhar Ahmad Rather on April 3.

Gowhar was also injured in police shelling on civilian protesters and had suffered grievous injuries after which he was treated at Soura Medical Institute, Srinagar. »

Srinagar, April 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a man was injured after he was shot at by unknown gunman in Shopian district on Sunday evening.

Unknown gunman fired upon the civilian identified as Kifayat Ahmad Mir a resident of Moolu village of the district. He sustained bullet in his leg. »

Thousands attend funeral in Kangan

Srinagar, April 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of a martyred civilian youth, Amir Lone who succumbed to his injuries at Soura Medical Institute in Srinagar, today.

Amir Lone was critically injured in shelling by Indian forces on protesters in Kangan area of Gandarbal district on the 3rd of April. The protests had erupted against the killing of another civilian, Gowhar Ahmad Rather, by the troops, on the same day. Amir was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Kangan amid pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. »

Srinagar, April 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has said that Kashmir has been virtually reeling under martial law.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar denounced the puppet regime and its forces for their inhuman and vengeful attitude towards the resistance leadership.

He deplored that Haji Ghulam Nabi Sumji, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar, Bilal Sidiqi and Mohammad Ashraf Laya are continuously under house detention. »

Brussels, April 15 (KMS): The Chairman of Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed has urged the British government to raise issue of human rights of the oppressed people during upcoming visit of Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to the UK.

Narendra Modi will pay a two-day visit to the United Kingdom on April 18-19. Beside participation in Commonwealth’s meetings, Modi will take part in bilateral talks to sign a dozen agreements to boost Delhi-London ties. »
