Srinagar, April 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has said that criminal silence maintained by the puppet authorities over rape and murder of an-eight year Jammu girl is very sad and painful.

Syed Ali Gilani in his statement issued in Srinagar said, “When it comes to people of Kashmir it seems all have decided to turn a blind eye.” He expressed shock over the slow pace of proceedings in Kathua minor’s murder and rape case, saying that attempts were being made to shelve the case like that of Asifa-Nilofer double murder case. »

Srinagar, April 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their unabated acts of state terrorism, martyred twenty nine Kashmiris including a woman and a young boy during the last month of March.

According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, these killings rendered one woman widowed and four children orphaned.

Of those martyrs four youth were killed in different fake encounters by the Indian forces. »

London, April 01 (KMS): A petition that was presented to the leader of the Sheffield City Council, Julie Dore by Sahira Irshad, Professor Nazir Ahmed and Barrister Abdul Majid Tramboo, has been result-oriented.

The leader of the council has constituted a cross-party Kashmir working group. It was requested by the petitioners that the leader of the council adds her voice in support of the British Kashmiris who campaign for peace, justice and the right to self-determination for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. »

Srinagar, April 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq visited Aali Kadal area of Srinagar to express solidarity with the families whose houses were gutted in a fire incident, recently.

During interactions with the eight affected families, Mirwaiz Muar Farooq expressed shock and grief over the damage caused by the blaze, and laid emphasis on immediate rehabilitation of all the victim families. »

Srinagar, April 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, after awaiting 24 years for her husband, Dilshada Sheikh, a member of Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (APDP), passed away in Srinagar.

Dilshada Sheikh, who lived in Zakura area of Srinagar, was the half-widow of Bashir Ahmad Sheikh, a casual laborer, who was picked by Border Security Force (BSF) in Lal Chowk on June 16, 1992, said APDP spokesman in a statement in Srinagar. »

100 injured in forces’ action on protesters

Srinagar, April 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh acts of state terrorism martyred 13 civilians and injured as many as 100 in Islamabad and Shopian districts, today.

The youth were killed during cordon and search operations, launched by Indian forces in the two districts of South Kashmir. Seven of the martyrs were killed in Dragad and four in Kachdoora areas of Shopian district. Two civilians identified as Jan Mohammad Lone and Zubair Ahmad Butt were succumbed to their injuries in hospital. Jan Muhammad Lone was a resident of Braipora, Shopian, while Zubair Ahmad Butt belonged to Gopalpora, Kulgam. Earlier, forces killed a youth identified as Rouf Bashir Khanday in an overnight operation at Dialgam in Islamabad district. Names of some other martyred youth include Yawar Itoo, Nazim Nazir, Adil Thokar, Ubair Shafi Malla, Rais Thokar, Ishafaq Malik and Zubair Turay. Police said that Mushtaq Ahmad Thokar was picked up by the Indian army last night. The troops took him to the Shopian area and killed him in custody, today. Police further said that two Indian soldiers were killed during the operation in Shopian distric, todayt. »
