OIC body condemns Indian terrorism in IOK

Srinagar, May 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, students of the University of Kashmir, Islamic University of Science and Technology and Central University of Kashmir, today, hit the streets against the killing of a varsity professor and other youth by the Indian troops in south Kashmir on Sunday.

Dr Muhammad Rafi Butt along with nine other youth was martyred by the troops during a cordon and search operation in Badigam area of in Shopian. The students assembled in the respective campuses of the universities in Srinagar, Awantipora and Ganderbal and raised pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans. Scores of students of Central University of Kashmir assembled in the campus and offered prayers in absentia for the professor and other martyrs. »

Srinagar, May 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat delegations continued to visit the families of the Kashmiri youth, recently martyred by the Indian troops in Srinagar, Shopian and other areas of the territory.

Hurriyat leaders Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Hakeem Abdul Rasheed and Javaid Ahmad Mir, today, visited the residences of martyred youth Aadil Ahmad Yattoo and Fayaz Ahmad Hamal and expressed solidarity with their families. They also visited the residence of Professor Muhammad Rafi Butt in Ganderbal. »

Complete shutdown continues in Shopian and Pulwma

Srinagar, May 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, students of the University of Kashmir, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) and Central University of Kashmir (CUK), today, held protests against the killing of an assistant professor and other youth by the Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in south Kashmir on Sunday.

Dr Muhammad Rafi Butt, a resident of Ganderbal was martyred by the troops in Badigam village of Shopian along with nine other youth during cordon and firing on protesters in the area. One injured succumbed in a Srinagar hospital, yesterday, raising the Shopian toll to 11. »

Srinagar, May 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the brutal way of dealing with anti-India resistance has badly hit the educational career of the Kashmiri youth in the territory over the past two months.

The institutions have remained closed for 32 days since March 5. The educational institutions were supposed to reopen after winter vacations on March 5, but the puppet regime ordered closure of schools and colleges for almost a week, fearing student protests against the killings by the Indian troops. »

Srinagar, May 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet administration has informed the High Court that it will not make public report of Koul Commission on the killings by the Indian troops during the 2010 mass uprising.

A division bench of acting Chief Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar and Justice Sanjeev Kumar directed the administration to produce in sealed cover the inquiry report of Justice (retd) M L Koul into the killings during 2010 uprising. »

Jeddah, May 09 (KMS): The Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly denounced the violence perpetrated by the Indian forces against the people of occupied Kashmir.

The IPHRC in a statement issued in Jeddah said, the violence goes against India’s human rights obligations and well-established international human rights norms. »

Jammu, May 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Bhaderwah and other areas of Jammu region, today, against the killing of innocent civilians by the Indian troops in Srinagar, Shopian and other areas of the Kashmir Valley.

Call for the strike has been given by Anjuman-e-Islamia Bhaderwah to support the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) and express solidarity with the people of the Kashmir Valley. »

New Delhi, May 09 (KMS): Fed up with popular resistance movement in occupied Kashmir, the Narendra Modi-led Indian government has sanctioned the deployment of especially trained in killing, National Security Guards, in the occupied territory.

Indian Home Secretary Rajiv Guaba has issued a written direction to the armed forces and other agencies for the deployment of the Black Cat commandos in occupied Kashmir. The move will have far reaching implications for the already volatile situation in the territory. »

Srinagar, May 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of International Forum for Justice and Human Rights, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, has released a report regarding May 1991 Khanyar massacre in which around two dozen innocent civilians were killed by the Indian troops.

The report quotes various witnesses and carries the names and addresses of at least 17 martyred persons gunned down by the troops on 8th of May 1991 in Khanyar area of Srinagar. »
