General Rawat grilled for anti-Kashmir remarks

Srinagar, May 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed on the fifth consecutive day, today, in Pulwama and Shopian districts against the recent killings by the Indian troops.

All shops, business establishments, government and private offices were closed and roads wore a deserted look in the twin districts. Train service between Srinagar and Banihal was suspended.

Students of Government Degree College in Sumbal area of Bandipora district, today, held a protest demonstration against the killings. They shouting pro-freedom and anti-India slogans held a march towards the main town. The students also offered funeral prayers in absentia for the martyrs. »

Srinagar, May 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, illegally detained Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that sooner or later India has to free Kashmir from its illegal occupation.

Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar termed Indian Army Chief Bipin Rawat’s statement regarding Kashmir as self-contradictory and illogical. He said General Rawat needs to revisit basic historical facts before issuing such threats to people that have resolved to achieve freedom from illegal occupation. »

Srinagar, May 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has urged the international human rights organizations to play role in stopping the ongoing bloodshed in Kashmir.

Mukhtar Ahmad Waza addressing a public gathering at Badroo Mehand in Bijbehra area of South Kashmir said every day Kashmir witnesses killing of children and youth, harassment frequent searches and cordon operations. “It is high time world community intervenes and urges New Delhi to stop killing Kashmiris and resolve the Kashmir dispute as per the aspirations of Kashmiri people,” he added. »

Srinagar, May 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders Mohammad Yousuf Naqash, Javaid Ahmad Mir and Hakim Abdul Rashid visited SMHS hospital to see dozens of pellet and bullet injured teenagers by Indian forces.

The leaders in their statements strongly condemned the continued ruthless and indiscriminate target pellet and bullet firing by forces on teenagers and students and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families. »

Srinagar, May 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an Indian soldier committed suicide at his camp in Baramulla district, today.

The soldier identified as Gurdeep Singh committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle at his camp in Kunzer area of Baramulla district. »

Srinagar, May 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Grand Mufti-designate and vice Chairman of Muslim Personal Law Board, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam has said that India cannot win the war against the Kashmiris and will leave the territory in 2025.

Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam in a media interview in Srinagar said, “India’s days are numbered in Kashmir. They cannot hold Kashmiris for long.” »

Jammu, May 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM) has said that pro-India political parties are a partner in the crimes against humanity being committed by the Indian troops in the territory.

APHC leader and the JKPM Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem, in a statement in Jammu said that power hungry political parties like Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and National Conference (NC), pretending to be the sympathisers of Kashmiris, had blood stains of innocent Kashmiris on their hands. »
